I’d rather they didn’t retire if they don’t want to. New music is the main thing I’m interested in from the band. Live stuff is just a bonus now, we’ve already got plenty of it, but more is always welcome. JT is probably one of the tours I feel there’s already a fair amount from but I do think there’s a bit of room to do something cool with rattle and hum hence the suggestion for that.
  2. With Baseball HOF Ricky Henderson recently passing away at tge age of 65, the band should consider retirement and enjoy life

Maybe being in a band is enjoying life. One of the advantages of earning as much money as they have and seemingly not having an overly demanding contract in place right now is being able to work at their own pace. Enjoying life should be a goal regardless of age anyway and I think being in a band is part of that for them.
  4. Consider Bono’s health and what the man has been through
  5. It’s irrelevant. You’ve got to do what you enjoy in life even if there are risks attached, and I don’t think being in a band where the schedule will be up to them at this point and they can do everything in style will carry too many health risks. I think Bono would be miserable giving up being in a band. If he ever stops enjoying being in a band then yes he should stop but I don’t think that’s the case right now, possibly never will be.
  6. Bono is a bit of an egomaniac, so he needs the spotlight
