I flew from Germany for Dublin I. Plus hotel costs etc.
But the PA System had heavy malfunctions in the rear part of the stadium.
Seemed a good perfirmance by the band and the atmosphere was great.
But 40.000 people had worst sound ever...
No regrets by the band afterwards.
So maybe you were right to sell your ticket...
  2. It gave us U23D don’t forget.

Remember recording a bit of Vertigo from the soundcheck outside City of Manchester Stadium waiting to go in on my phone,Sharp GX30…’..call security, there’s a man on the roof, don’t jump don’t jump..’ - Bono

The last tour where the songs from the new album were actual chart toppers too. Definitely made a difference.

In Dublin also? On opening night in Bruxelles, too.
  5. In whatever stadium: quality of the sound depends heavily on where you stand/sit in the stadium. At GA 1 meter to the left or right or back or front can make a huge difference
  6. Best show of the European Leg??????
  7. Most will probably say Dublin 3 because they actually took some risks with the setlist.
  8. The only proper tour I have missed since Popmart. Had a ticket the morning of the gig but it was boiling hot in London that day and I could not face trekking out to Twickenham for it
  9. Second Milan was great. I hope we will get the whole gig in great quality one day.
  10. Well, for me it was London 1&2, a quick flip to Dublin for 1&2. NY in October for 2 shows & then the following year, the beach party tour finale in Hawaii. Felt so fortunate to hear Saints Are Comi ng & Window In The Skies. A bonkers trip, but so good to catch up with long-time friends. Happy days (and nights).
  11. What is the 3 best audience of the tour for you ?
Non iem, no matrix et no soudboard
    Thanks
  12. Melbourne,18th November 2006 is outstanding IMHO
