1. Apologies if this is the wrong place, but who cares???
Has anyone seen a fantastically excellent trib band lately?
Personally, yes. I think they were called Vertigo and the fuckerer (AKA Bono) got me to do the bit off 'Party Girl' da da da da da da etc. whilst waving the flag (lovin it) cos I kind of made a bit of a tit of meself by standing on tables and thrusting me arm, towards his majesty during Bad!!
Any more in the Newcastle area before xmas?

    Order in the disorder.
  5. U2UK are AMAZING!!!
  6. ZU2 were fantastic. Fantastic. The guitarist had all of Edges tones and sounds absolutely nailed. And I mean nailed. NYD was absolutely pitch perfect. And he played the whole set with 1 guitar!! Edge can't even do that. From Vertigo to Streets on one guitar. Brilliant. The singer had clearly listened to and watched a lot of Bono. The body language, facial expressions and movements were all freakishly similar to the B-man and his array of snippets were a welcome and authentic surprise. Only criticism I have is one for which the band weren't directly to blame. The singer was to high in the mix and the Bass was way too low. And Beautiful Day may have been a little turd. Drummer looks nothing like Larry either but he hit the pads just like him.

Hilight was definitely New Year's Day. Absolutely stunned at how well the guitarist nailed the sound. A big 10/10. Keep an eye out for them.

    Set :

Vertigo (with Stories For Boys snippet)
    Beautiful Day
    One
    NYD
    Pride
    I Will Follow
    Cry/Electric Co.
    Out Of Control
Bad (with Ruby Tuesday and 'to let it go ah ah' and letting the crowd sing 'and so to fade awayy!!) Brilliant
    Bad seuged perfectly into Streets
    Angel Of Harlem
Sunday Bloody Sunday (AOH was a perfect lead in)
    All I Want Is You
    Pride.

    Encore

    Mysterious Ways (Dublin 93 version)
    I Still Haven't . . .

    2nd encore

    Vertigo
