    Actualy the majority of the Viva la Vida album has dark lyrics. But the music is not always that dark. You may not like all the songs though, but give it a try.

    Ps: my opinion is that Violet Hill is by far their best song ever!

    Yeah I meant musically dark. I could try the album, but I know I really don't like the title song (and not because of Joe Satriani ripoff)

    I would try Don’t Panic and Trouble from their first album

    As well as the title song from A Rush Of Blood To The Head, plus their album Ghost Stories has a few depressing songs since it was written and recorded around the time Chris Martin & Gwyneth Paltrow separated.

    Low and Twisted Logic are quite musically heavy if that’s what you’re into, Amsterdam is a very dark song. High speed isn’t exactly a happy sounding song either. Politik as well another heavy one at times. I like most of the first 3 albums tbh.

  12. cant listen to a lot of Coldplay nowadays as the music reminds me of an ex partner and makes me feel like shit.

    I have always wonder how Chris holds it together singing certain songs.
