1. From the last 4 albums everyday life is the only album that’s got some decent songs on it. The other 3 I’m not exaggerating in saying I think are 3 of the worst albums ever. I’ve seen them live twice, on the rush of blood to the head and twisted logic tours and they were great, I couldn’t see them now because 3/4 of the show is terrible.

U2 got crucified for experimenting with the blues and elecronica, Coldplay get a free pass for working with Puppets and K pop karaoke singers.

I think U2 were more criticised in the execution and marketing in that respect, plus it was a very different era then. True, Coldplay have gone from an indie/soft rock group to a mainstream pop act almost seamlessly. I've seen Coldplay live and they put on a great spectacle, but they and others have a debt to U2 who put themselves out there first to try new things and reinvent not just their music but how a live experience should be.
  4. I’ve been a Coldplay fan since hearing Yellow back in 2000-2001. MOTS I did not enjoy, but at least it had Coloratura. But this album… I can’t say I like anything about it.

  6. Just listened to the album and I think "GOOD FEELiNGS" is a good (Coldplay) song, luckily I heard this song live in Düsseldorf last July so there is no reason to pay top price for the London shows.
  7. Did anyone order the digital tour edition of the new album? Ordered it last night and still haven’t gotten the email that has the downloads in them.

Should say, I’m not asking for the downloads. Wondering if anyone hasn’t received them yet either
  9. I received my link to download them about 4:30pm PT this afternoon. It took about 20 hours. The sender was delivery@single.xyz and said Coldplay US.
  10. Also came with WAV, FLAC, ALAC, and MP3 320k download options. You can download all four options so you do not need to just pick one and transcode.
  11. Finally got delivered, also about 20 hours later
  12. Coldplay pulling a Taylor Swift with multiple different album versions. Lucky though, because on the Full Moon Version of Moon Music we have got the two best songs from this era. The Karate Kid and Man In The Moon.

Just feel bad for Johnny because you can't hear his guitar playing anymore on these albums. Listening to the SiriusXM broadcast and so nice to hear him rip through God Put A Smile On Your Face.
