Just feel bad for Johnny because you can't hear his guitar playing anymore on these albums. Listening to the SiriusXM broadcast and so nice to hear him rip through God Put A Smile On Your Face.
No, he seems to wear the guitar well these days if anything, but who knows what effects he is using. I listened to his IEM feed on this tour and he has some nice parts not really picked up through the sound system due to being swamped in synth backing tracks.

Man In The Moon is great in my opinion, and it's nice to have the official release of A Wave at last.
  2. I'm pleasantly surprised by this album. I don't love it, but it's a significant step up from Music of the Spheres. I think it's their best of the post-MX albums (except Everyday Life, of course). It feels less overproduced then MotS and A Head Full of Dreams.

Moon Music is a good track (although I wish it had a different ending so I could listen to it by itself).

Rainbow, All My Love, One World... all nice and hearken back to old Coldplay sounds.
I am a Mountain feels like it could fit on Viva or MC.
Aeterna is kinda funky and I kinda like it.
A Wave is very pretty and ambient.
We Pray doesn't fit with the album but kind of a cool beat.
Even feels like I'm falling in love is a decent, not overproduced pop song.
And the tracks I don't like (Jupiter, Good Feelings) don't offend me like others of their recent albums do.

In general, lyrics leave a lot to be desired, but some great sounds and melodies!

(Don't get me started on the abysmal use of capitalization and emojis in the track titles though)
  3. Just picked up tickets for the 2x Stanford shows. Crazy seeing stadium tickets on opposite side of stage for $500.
  4. Tried to get tickets for the London shows but think the ticket sales are a bit fake.
They put you in a queue for hours and then charge top dollar!
  5. Was able to buy a ticket for 270 pounds with limited view.
  6. Blimey. Was that face value or dynamic pricing?
  7. Can't you guys just tape from outside the stadium with your receivers
  8. Coldplay's 10th album, Moon Music, has charted at number one in the UK, selling more copies than the rest of the Top 40 combined.

The record shifted 237,000 UK chart units - a measure that incorporates streams, downloads and physical sales - over the last seven days, said the Official Charts Company.

It is the biggest opening week for a British album since Adele's 30 was released in 2021.

    It being on QVC helped.
  10. It’s crazy the way musics going. You can go and see bands for 10% of the cost of a Coldplay show who are putting on much better performances and releasing much better songs.
  11. I doubt if it's because of Coldplay, for Athens 2024 I paid 58 euros while Amsterdam 2023 was already 170 euros.
