1. Very interesting stuff. Seeing as it's been the four of them for the last 32 years, it'd be hard to imagine them dissolving simply due to old age. I imagine they will supplant the Stones as rock's senior citizens, and probably very soon--another tour would see the Stones at nearly 70, a bit old for sex, drugs and rock n roll.
  2. Well as long as their some scence of decentness, and they still make great music
    I dont see a problem

Try telling that to the Stones
  4. interesting article indeed. very critical, but that's not necessarily bad.
didn't Bono once say somewhere -- I forgot the exact quote -- that U2 won't be doing this rock star thing when they're in their 60s, like the Rolling Stones do? I think I read that somewhere.

among some lines, this was one I stumbled over:

rumbling on for decade after decade, long after people have stopped caring

could you ever imagine yourself stopping to care about U2? the four of them, and their music? just try to imagine that for a moment, and tell me what you think because honestly, as much as I know that life comes up with changes and turns in your very own life, the love for U2 and how their music makes me feel will never change. just saying

    "Did someone say cash?"
    I rest my case lol

  8. this is indeed interesting stuff!!!
personally, i wouldn't mind if they kept doing music until they were 60....if they're still doing awesome music, i would definitely be on the front row waiting to see them! (if i ever get to the front rows.... )
i think i once read something where the band said that they'll keep doing music until it's total crap. and when that day comes they wouldn't release it any more. and i think that's a pretty decent standard!

on the other hand, i don't think i can imagine life without U2. their music marked me in so profound ways that i can't bear the idea of them quitting! as well as i can't bear the idea of never being able to see them live!
for now, i'm just happy that the moment when it will all end is not near!
and i absolutely plan to see them live first!!!

    long live U2!!!!
  9. "The Elder Statesmen of Rock Tour 2020". Imagine that.

''Two crap albums and you're out.''
  10. i hust hope theyill keep playing forever!

So they would have stopped after Passengers, wouldn't they?

I think U2 will release music until Bono gets stuck in asshole of some president...

You know, music is like math- here we are:

the best bandleader ever + a guitar magician + the best rock drummer + the coolest bass guitarist ever = the best band ever Long live U2
