The average punter has limited £££ for these type of events & there is going to be a certain cross over of the Oasis, Coldplay, U2 audience in the UK with Oasis obviously being the hot ticket next year. This might affect ticket sales to some extent.

Vanity: U2 are pretty vain & wont want to look like a fairly small out fit which they are going to end up doing if Oasis end up selling 10 shows at Wembley (I guess more dates will be added?) & Coldplay do the same. I’d guess as a max U2 would do 2 x stadium shows in London with Wembley obviously being the premier venue) with a further 3-4 shows in the usual places (Cardiff/Manchester/Glasgow).

I think someone mentioned on here Bram might be the drummer for the Oasis shows which would make sense seeing as Noel & Bono are such good pals. I don’t know if that comment was serious or not. I suppose there is a possibility Larry is unable (or unwilling) to tour again for health reasons & my guess is Bram would be U2’s favoured stand in).

On that point I guess U2 will be contracted to play a certain number of shows through their Live Nation contract (which will run out at some point) but who knows what this entails. With it without a member of the band.
I was the one who said Bram might be Oasis' drummer. But i was only joking. There's no indication that that's actually going to happen (although I wouldn't be surprised either...)

Especially with a new tour being dependant on the new album, I’m sure he has an idea of where they’re at with new material. Wouldn’t surprise me if the band released a song or 2 early in 2025 ala ordinary love and invisible, to keep things ticking over and then album late 2025 and tour 2026. Just a prediction at this stage.

  3. it's a quite shame because it's 2025, it happened a long time since SOE, i'm just wondering what the fuck it's happenig there with the band
  4. SOE, book, book tour, Sphere. Technically they (Bono and Edge) have remained a little busy in recent years but from U2 album/tour to U2 album/tour is starting to feel like a long time if we are now looking forward to 2026.
  5. 2026 is a long time away lol

I had the same thought but you put it much better than I could have. Them doing 5-6 shows in the UK is gonna seem like small potatoes compared to what oasis and Coldplay are planning. People shouldn’t underestimate the effect this will have on them, due to said vanity.

Now in cities like Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Milan, Barcelona, Stockholm, Zurich, Berlin etc they can definitely sell out multiple nights in each city, so maybe they’ll go that route and come back to the UK in 26. Who knows?
  7. at this point the band will turn 60 and then they start the tour
  8. I guess they did delay SOE partly v
Because Trump got elected in 2016, so I guess it’s possible!! 😆
  9. Don't forget the World Cup in 2026 which could affect stadium availability in NA. Canada and Mexico (if they do stadiums).
