Did the four in Toronto and then went back for Ottawa and Montreal where Arcade Fire was opening for them. Seeing Arcade Fire and U2 doing "Love will Tear Us Apart" together on stage was great. U2 were taking the stage to "Wake Up" back then, so Arcade Fire came out one night to "Where the Streets Have No Name". Add Montreal to the list...
Added both. There currently is a 3 way tie!

They did Pop Muzik on the PA on the Vertigo Tour? What?! Thats awesome. I never knew that
  3. Yup and Danny Lanois that night on One, and both Lanois and Eddie Vedder on "Ol' Man River". Was a bit messy in places, but overall was a great night. It was Lanois that got me into the ellipse that night. He had some extra wristbands and was more than willing to help.
  4. That is so cool.. amazing memories
  5. Woody Harrelson, Michael Stipe and Leonard Cohen were all in town if not at the mixing desk during Vertigo Toronto. I briefly spoke to Jeff and Stone from Pearl Jam at center ice. It was special.

  6. I was looking for this comment, thought I'd be the first one here to recall this piece of "recent" U2 history, which can be described with UTEOTW lyrics: "you were acting like it was the end of the world".

Anyway, I really hope the outcome from this year's US election won't play any part in all of this, as it really shouldn't, and I'm not talking just about the touring plans, but also some reworking on the album (which would hold it back even longer).

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, that's life and democracy, politics are complicated cause human beings are complex and things aren't black on white, we all get it (many of us anyway), so by all means, please speak out since freedom of speech is marvelous and necessary, but don't act like it's doomsday, life goes on, let's move along cause none of us are getting any younger.

  7. I'm a sucker for these coloured variants,I've got about 6 or 7 SOS and still a few short
  8. on this day, U2 came back releasing you’re the best thing about me later they dropped the new album
  9. I don’t get why people dislike these songs. I understand that this album is not there best release but I have had some difficult times at points this year and I can turn on that album and it calms me down
  10. Best Thing ironically probably their worst song.
