1. am very very very disappointed at this point as I would never have been, the last thing I would like to know is if U2 continues to maintain the idea of making a rock album 😞
  2. U2Songs has a story about when Apple launched the iPod U2 edition 20 years ago. Back then The Edge apparently said "when Napster first got up and running, I was simultaneously very excited because I’m into that kind of thing, and also appalled at where it might lead us. I sensed at that moment we were entering a new era, that music, and the music business had to change, embrace the era. There was no point in fighting it." Being an innovator with respect to digital music, I am wondering when exactly they took the wrong direction. Instead of continuing to explore new ways of distributing music they gave us DVDs when Blu-Rays where the new standard, instead of giving is live concert downloads, they continue to give us 5-track EPs mixed together with live recordings from various concerts.
  3. U2 iPods may have stopped being officially produced and sold but there are many online shops where you can buy a recreation of the U2 iPod with up to date internals and brand new faceplate/back plate with the signatures. It's pricey though.

I'm assuming you are talking about Berlin.

They gave us the Berlin show as a gorgeous high definition streaming option at a time when BluRay was practically dying. Yes, they also sent out a physical copy on DVD. But that's because their audience probably hasn't progressed to the point of high definition means of playing the discs at home if they were to offer a 4K disc option. (Case in point, had it been a 4K disc or a bluray, I would not have any way to play it, but could via the dvd drive in the laptop and PC I had at the time.)

I suspect most people didn't play it anyway? Why? Because the discs sent out had a bad flaw that made them unwatchable in many machines. I'm guessing most people watched the stream when it went up and never looked at it when the disc arrived, other than to flip through the booklet and look at the pictures...(Sent two copies back for replacement, and still couldn't get a copy without a flaw, and many others reported the same...seemed to be at about the point it switches between layers...)
  6. makes me want to go check my copy...
would the disc just not be playable in player at all?
Or at a certain part/song would it skip/stop?
  7. I have the u2.com 1080p stream with the DVD audio as a bluray.
  8. Didn't it skip during Vertigo?
  9. My. Dvd works fine
