  1. Plenty of interesting bits in there. I don’t think we’re getting a new album in 2025 now though. 2027 isn’t even out of the question I feel and that means a 2026 50th anniversary tour might just be a consideration. Just me putting 2+2 together and probably getting 5 but it’s a guess. I also could see the next album release (while we wait for the brand new material) being that demo’s compilation u2songs spoke about. Good to hear about a pop boxset and songs of ascent looking very likely to appear one day.

  5. Good questions were asked. Very direct and straight to the point. Seems that the new album is a long way away. Almost like they're starting from scratch. I wonder what the opposite of the Sphere is?

    Good question about the Pop boxset and SOA. Definitely wasn't expecting that to be asked.

  7. Yes the demos compilation is How to Re-Assemble an Atomic Bomb. I think originally they were looking at an alternate way to celebrate the anniversary rather than a boxed set, but in the end did both.

    I agree with tuf392664, getting a new album in 2025 will be a stretch. We updated our "upcoming releases" to say Fall 2025 at the earliest for a reason. It very much sounds like they did work on all of this, and then in the end decided to rewind once again and start over with all four of them in a room. There seems to have been a major change in plans since July-August.
  8. I’m just really curious to see how much thought is being put into u250. I know it’s not been mentioned by anyone and they’re all talking about new stuff which is great but I wouldn’t be surprised to see their biggest box set ever in 2026 with a tour celebrating such a big milestone and then early 2027 hitting us with a new album and tour to say we aren’t done yet.
