    Totally agree. I wish they’d be honest - maybe to themselves as well. I don’t believe a word the Edge says anymore - if you cobble the quotes together from recent interviews it’s quite funny. Absolutely they don’t owe anything to anyone anymore so I wish they’d just decide either that’s it, and they just tour the hits, or get on with it and release the album. They are long past being “relevant” to younger people especially and don’t need a hit, so why not create / release what they love and long term fans will likely enjoy. And if it’s only a Bono / Edge thing so be it but don’t pretend it’s U2.

    They're not even 'relevant' to older people. The only people they're relevant to is their die-hard fan base. No one else cares and that won't change going forward ever again
