Sorry if I'm misinterpreting but I definitely can't see it being that when they were talking about the "new" old songs and the shadow album.

I don't think that's been implied. Another standalone single would be my guess, fingers crossed.

When you think of SOE they had already played little things including on tv plus released a video of blackout and released best thing before the album came out. The album version of blackout and get out of your own way were also made available when they announced the album. Why not do 4 singles in the next year, 1 every 3 months?

yea, POP has the best singles releases, always something new to show, incredible
  3. we should read the media about a new song/single. if it says that, there it is
  4. Whilst checking out the new music drops this morning, I found a U2 related release from band friend and Italian legend Zucchero. I once saw him close the show on the I&E tour in Torino/Turin, singing I Still Haven’t Found… anyway, he’s covered With Or Without You on his Discover II album.

A nice little distraction whilst we await ‘the’ new music. Personally I think he’s done a very good job on such a well known song, not always easy. For me, it’s got a nice mystical, almost ethereal quality to the sound.

"There was talk about U2 putting out something at the end of the year, but that plan was scuttled."

This wasn't a reference to HTRAAB. The band were talking about putting out a new single at the end of 2024.

The end of 2024 could easily be pushed into the new year. We all remember the stories of SOS being released in December 2022. Perhaps they kicked it down the line as they were doing promo for the Bomb anniversary?

Not this time I don't believe.

It could be something else. Or he could have been talking about the RSD submission that was sent in for manufacturing around the same time. (RSD 2025)
  8. Not that I follow these things but last time I heard Bono was building a house in CA during the Sphere residency.

  9. Apparently this was posted by Morleigh several hours ago.. what a mess in California.
