  11. Yeah, I’ve noticed a few more click bait pieces on the socials in the last 24-48 hours referencing an announcement by the band of a new album and tour next year. I figure if I haven’t read it about it here or on U2songs first then it’s going to be BS.

    They all originate from one place. And it's all clickbait articles. They are all generated by AI, and aimed to draw an audience.

    Over the last year or so they've announced the death of Joe O'Herlihy, that Adam Clayton had a near-fatal car crash, stuff about new albums and new projects. The sites they direct you to are infested with spyware, and a few are pinging my virus scanners as well. It's not a joke, it's an attempt to get people to follow, and they'll do just about anything to make you click.

    Just awful awful stuff.
