1. A really interesting read. I'm glad he stuck up for himself when unjustly accused of not speaking out about Gaza. I felt that his role in Pepfar was a bit dumbed down in the article, and it didn't really make it clear just what an astonishing achievement it was. I'm still completely blown away by the entire thing. To be able to successfully convince fundamentalists to change their views, and part with money (not sure which one is the most difficult!) - how is that even possible? Nice to read that he was on the way to a band meeting. Here's hoping the new album isn't too far away.
  2. glad for this new bono
  3. Glad to know the band are working with Brian Eno too, his inspiration in the studio should bring great results hopefully.
  4. What's the documentary they mentioned?
  5. Great content and all, but the cover photo is what really got my attention. Our man is looking quite fit in that sleeveless shirt of his for a man of 65. He's slimmer in the face and has a bit of shape to his shoulders and biceps that suggests to me that he's been doing a bit of time in the gym. Sounds like he's taking a bit better care of his mental and physical health these days.
  6. All that seems a long time ago. Next year will mark 50 years of U2’s existence; at least one celebratory documentary is in the offing, as well as – intriguingly – a Netflix drama series produced by JJ Abrams (Star Trek, Mission: Impossible III, Lost) and scripted by Anthony McCarten, who wrote the screenplay for the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

If there was to be either a U2 or Bono biopic/drama/series then I hope it isn't too sugar-coated as a lot of the recent biopics are, which seem to 'glamourise' rather than 'criticise' the failings of an artist

It's perfectly fine to laud someone - and deservedly so at times - but you need a balanced portrayal for it to be a truthful piece of work

Yes looking fit. Nice to read about Eno as well. (no mention of Lanois though)

I imagine that was back in the Beacon Theatre in 2023
  9. A team that's worked extensively with the BBC has been putting together old footage working on a documentary. They've been covering everything, from the early days to more recent appearances, so it does look like it's a full look at the band's career.
A little more here (but not much): https://u2songs.com/news/upcoming/
  10. I am SO glad to hear that they are working with Eno on the new music.

    A good interview.
