1. Hey Jeremy. It's very sad. But everyone hopes it will get better soon. I believe in God and I hope he will help you. Good luck!

Yeah, man, walk on with hope in your heart and you will never walk alone!
  2. I dedicate this song to Jeremy:

    Nobody else here baby
    No one here to blame
No one to point the finger
It's just you and me and the rain

    Nobody made you do it
No one put words in your mouth
    Nobody here taking orders
When love took a train heading south

It's the blind leading the blond
It's the stuff, it's the stuff of country songs

Hey if God will send his angels
And if God will send a sign
And if God will send his angels
    Would everything be alright?

God has got his phone off the hook, babe
Would he even pick up if he could
It's been a while since we saw that child
    Hanging 'round this neighbourhood
You see his mother dealing in a doorway
See Father Christmas with a begging bowl
And Jesus sister's eyes are a blister
The High Street never looked so low

It's the blind leading the blond
It's the cops collecting for the cons
So where is the hope and where is the faith
And the love...what's that you say to me
Does love...light up your Christmas Tree
The next minute you're blowing a fuse
And the cartoon network turns into the news

If God will send his angels
And if God will send a sign
Well if God will send his angels...
    Where do we go?
    Where do we go?

    Jesus never let me down
You know Jesus used to show me the score
Then they put Jesus in show business
Now it's hard to get in the door, angel

It's the stuff, it's the stuff of country songs
But I guess it was something to go on

If God will send his angels
Sure could use them here right now
Well if God would send his angels

(And I might not want my life)
(I want my lover feel my soul) / So where do we go?
(And I want my love and I)
(And I want to feel alone) / So where do we go?
    How?

    (Sing my song)
    (Sing my song)
    (Sing my song)
    (Sing my song)

(Baby, just like you kept telling me, slow down)
  3. I am very sorry to hear about this. I can testify to the uplifting effect of U2. My wife went through her second bout of cancer a few years back, and the only thing that felt like a good thing at the time was U2. For some reason. Zoo Station at full blast was the best. Good thoughts to you!!
  4. wow, what can i say, what a das story. i hope you'll recover soon! sorry for not being able to lift you up with some fitting words, and i am not religious too, but just keep on and think positive!
  5. Originally posted by haytrainHey all....Some of you know that I'm a stickler when it comes to people opening up new topics in the forums, so this was a big deal for me to open this one. Let me explain my situation:

On Monday, we had a national holiday here in the US, and I decided to take a surfing lesson at a local beach. Things went really well, although during one of my rides, I felt some minor back pain when I stood up on my board. I thought "oh, that will give me a backache tomorow" and continued surfing for about 45 minutes. After our lesson, I started feeling pain in my legs, so I headed home. On the drive, my legs went numb and we had to go straight to the hospital. I've been at the hospital ever since, and the doctors have diagnosed me with a very rare problem called surfer's myelopathy. As of now, I have no movement or feeling in my lower torso. I can't walk or stand up, and while there's a chance of recovery, there's a chance it could be permanent as well.

Here's where my 2 requests come in....First, I ask if you're religious, you say a prayer for my health. If you're not religious, I'd still appreciate some good thoughs coming my way. Second, if anyone has any uplifting or good songs (U2 or otherwise) for me to listen to during my days sprawled out on my hospital bed, send them my way. (I've tried to listen to Walk On and Streets from Slane, but I end up in a ball of tears.)

    Thanks all!
    Jeremy

Jeremy, I'm very sorry to hear this man. You are most definitely in my thoughts and prayers.

    Chris
  6. Damn, what a shock. I can't find no words, damn!

Let's pray for you it isn't permanent..and always think the next sentence:

'Midnight is where the day begins'

All the best to you, I really hope you recover soon. This Coldplay song might help you through:

And next song helps me through EVERY sad moment:

    Hope it will help you
