1. They also must be reading U2 start beacuse miryclay posted about the Great Rock N Roll Swindle a couple of hours ago.
  2. Considering music sales are a fraction of what they used to be, musicians have to make it up in their ticket prices. That is unfortunately how the industry has shifted its mindset and I don't think even if we bought millions more albums that this particular genie can get put back into the bottle.

  3. Mentions them once ( and Coldplay ) near the end purely for their association with Live Nation

  4. Yeah thanks for ur amazing contribution.

As some others here have pointed out no one forced you to hit purchase on the price that was flashed up on ur screen. It's simply supply and demand. I also believe, as many others did that the demand for these tickets was unprecedented. I genuinely think the band went into this with a little trepidation. I mean people were laughing at the rumoured 10 nights straight at Wembley they initially reserved. Most Oasis fans laughed at that saying no way in hell would they book out 2 nights let alone potentially 10.

On slight tangent .... this sort of thing is becoming a trend , different ways to stop certain industries from making money and/or capping/limiting potential earnings they can make from the property market to enterprises or multi nationals ( such as Live Nation etc ).

I cant speak for everyone but I am supposedly living in a capitalist system of Government yet sometimes I think we are living in a socialist country. The 'have-nots' who are largely in that position in life thru no fault of their own all gather around with pitchforks screaming 'burn the witch' at any one or any business making money.
  5. So rock 'n' roll just disappeared from planet Earth in the name of capitalism, or rather exploitation. Now just luxurious thing. I don't think any of the big bands experienced losses from their tours before this stupid dynamic pricing was introduced...

How is it exploitation for gods sake ? There was a certain amount of people who wanted a limited number of tickets it's supply and demand. Exploitation, what a joke. I guess ur the type also crying about the cost of living and ur rent weekly also ?
  7. EdgeMedia72, excuse the existence of low income and everage income people that were able to buy concert tickets just couple of years ago for fair prices... Are we supposed to be just happy that we can't afford it anymore because of the Livenation monopoly and lack of regulations?
  8. I keep waiting for a coherent solution to the LYV monopoly. Sure split up the artist management and the ticketing, fine. Does anyone believe that is going to reduce prices? Are we going to have multiple ticketing platforms selling the same shows? What is a “fair” price for a ticket?

Economics are pretty basic here on supply and demand. There are thousands of cheap concerts to see in every city every week. No one is being priced out of seeing live music.
  9. Definitely Maybe arrived

  10. Number?
