1. Am I alone in wishing that major artists including U2 would go back to 'the element of surprise' with their tours. Using U2 as an example virtually every show on every tour up to and including Lovetown in 1989 could have a different set list or running order but since ZOOTv it has been virtually the same songs in the same order with very occasional differences. Dan Lanois makes reference to U2 operating off 'a gridwork for the songs' thus limiting the band, in the U2 Show book. Perhaps it is a downfall of technology and an audience wanting Visuals as well as Sound. What do think? In saying this Having seen U2 on each tour since 87 (except Lovetown which did not make the UK) you still can't really beat them on stage
