Hey guys! Fun way to start off 2007: An end-all-to-end-all song polls to pick the favorite song of the u2start.com community through a multi-round poll system.
I'll try and make the rules as brief as possible, but please read them all!
I'm not sure if the rules will change once we get into round 2, but they probably will. But for now all parts of Round 1, the rules will be the same.
First off, we're voting with Studio tracks only. No live tracks. If the game is successful, maybe we'll do a live track version.
OUTLINE OF GAMEPLAY

Round 1 - There will be multiple parts, each covering two STUDIO albums, followed by b-sides, and than a wildcard round for those that just missed moving on. 3 songs from each album move on.
Round 2 - Will pit all the songs from the 80s against eachother, same for 90s and 00s (bsides will probably get mixed in with 00s because of the lower amount of albums from this decade). There'll be a wildcard round here too.
Round 3 - From all the remaining songs we'll narrow it down to the top 3.
Round 4 (Final round) - The top 3 songs will battle it out in the polls till we have one winner!

RULES FOR ROUND 1

NOTE: Even though there are two albums in each "part-of-round" the albums aren't being grouped or even combined really. We're just doing two at once so that we can move the game along at a half-way fast pace!
1) You can vote ONCE per day until voting is closed.
2) Round 1 por's (parts of rounds) will last exactly 3 days/72 hours
3) When you vote, you can vote for 2 songs on each album or the same song twice.
So if the albums were Joshua Tree and Rattle and Hum you could put your votes like this:
Joshua Tree: Running to Standstill, With or without you
Rattle and Hum: All I Want Is You, All I want is you
From that,
Running to standstill and with or without you will each have one vote and all I want is you will receive two votes from you.
4) At the end of the 72 hours, the 3 top songs from each album will move on to round 2.
