1. Hey everyone, it's stj0691 (or for those who know me, steve)!

I had this really awesome idea. I am going to listen to the entire 3rd leg of the Elevation Tour. It's the most inimate tour leg any group has ever done. After listening to each gig, I will post my review under the review section. For those of you who want to join me with this, you may. I figure that with more reviews, people will get further insight on shows. Some of these are very underrated too.

First show starts tomorrow....one of the most famous: 2001-10-10 South Bend

I realized I could do this because I leave my school at 230 and dont get home until later. i realized i had so much free time alone. this is where i could listen to the gigs. i can post my review of the show as soon as i get home. i figure i can post my reviews here as well as the bootleg pages.

Also, with each bootleg downloaded, it will be kept in storage. Because of the Rapidshare situation, I'm a little bit afraid of what could happen. So if RS does go down, I have the 3rd leg stored away.

Call me crazy, but this could also be done with the 2nd leg of the October Tour (starting Novembver 13th, very far away), 4th Leg of the War Tour (starting Nov 22nd), the TUF tour 2nd Leg (starting October 18th), 2nd leg of Lovetown (Dec 11th), 5th leg of Zoo TV (Nov 12th), PopMart Tour starting with the 3rd Leg (Oct 26nd), and 5th Leg of Vertigo (Nov 17th).

Could it be done? If I wasnt in school, yup. Some of these tours are famous too. The 2nd leg of Lovetown has the Dublin shows, and I know many of you have all 4. The 5th legs of Zoo TV and Vertigo are hailed as some of the best legs ever. The PopMart leg is said to have evolved at the time of the 3rd leg, so there's some phenominal stuff there.

My review for the South Bend show comes tomorrow....it's a five star, plus it's already on my iPod, so expect many praises.

    Peace on Earth,
    stj0691
  2. Nice thing you got started there Steve!!
I woudl really love to join, but I have just a few of the Elevation gigs
but it would really be amazing to have as much reviews as we can for each of the bootlegs.... I guess people will get more interested in posting their own reviews and download a few more shows....

    hands up mate!!!

BTW: South Bend, is one of my favs!!!
  3. I don't have many Elevation gigs , but it does sound interesting, maybe I'll get involved with this
  4. Baltimore is one of their best shows period I think. One of my good friends is the one who handed Bono the American flag during New Year's Day
  5. glad to see some responses. what i'm doing is downloading 1-3 shows a night. I figure the entire 3rd leg can fit on my hard drive easily, since it's 30 shows at 2 hours each. I had the zooropa leg on there and it took up 7 GB or so, which isn't a lot nowadays. If you can download one show a day, you, theoretically, would have the entire 3rd leg on your comp near nov 10th. The 3rd leg didn't end until dec 2nd or so. You'd be in great shape if so. If you have limited space on your iPod, just remove it and move in to the next one. The boot won't disappear because odds are I downloaded it.

Note: when you download 2001-10-15 Chicago, use the rapidshare links. The megaupload file is locked....

Other projects if notice: Zoomerang, Vertigo 5th leg, popmart 3rd and 4tg legs too.
  6. Ouch
  7. Some 3rd leg shows are the only Elevation shows I kinda like. The performance is a little tighter.
Also bringing up Gwen Stefani on stage is always a big +
Some great audience shot videos from that leg, too.

The only thing I feel uncomfortable with (apart from the Stuck + Kite disasters) is the whole "patriotic" spirit on the shows. Somehow understandable but creepy nevertheless.

true with the first part of your post

I don't agree with your opinion regarding the patriotic arguement tho, but we're all entitled to our own opinion
