1. Wtf!
  2. It's a big shock.

Does DM continue after this? Fletch was Martin's best friend.

I'm glad I saw them once. But I shouldn't have sold that ticket to the last show of their last tour
  3. So sad to hear this news today. Not known for being much of a musician but he was so integral to Depeche Mode. Will be very interesting to see where Dave and Martin go from here. R.I.P. Fletch
  4. Way too young at 60 😢😢😢
  5. Hopefully they'll keep on making music, but I doubt it. Maybe a one time return of Alan Wilder for a farewell tour?
  6. It is hard to predict the state of band members relationships. We just don't know.
  7. According to rumors, the band was in the studio in recent months to work on new songs. Allegedly, founding member Vincent Clarke was also present, but all of this has never been confirmed by the band or management. I personally find it hard to believe that Martin and Dave will continue with Depeche Mode, that’s really hard to imagine because to me Fletch seems always to be the glue of the band holding everything together. I still can't believe he's gone now. I am in deep mourning. Depeche Mode, along with U2, wrote the soundtrack to my life. As of last night, a part of me got lost forever. That may sound strange, but that's how I feel. What an unbelievable loss.
  8. Depeche could still continue. Fletch didn't have any musical influence on the songs. One last record and tour please.
  9. We all should not underestimate his musical influence on the band's sound. Flood, the co-producer of DM masterpieces "Violator" and "Songs of Faith and Devotion“ once said, he listened very much to Fletcher's comments and opinions, because of bringing in the Pop element to the band’s music. To me personally that’s enough said.

    I feel the same way
And I sadly see no tour coming anymore. DM has ended with Andy's passing. My personal thoughts, each to their own. Peace and love. And many tears.
  11. So sad for Andy’s passing
    Unexpected and unbelievable
I don’t think they could go on this way
Glad to have seen them many many times
    I keep good memories
    Rest In Peace Fletch
  12. We wanted to take a moment and acknowledge the outpouring of love for Andy that we’ve seen from all of you over the last few weeks. It’s incredible to see all of your photos, to read your words, and to see how much Andy meant to all of you. As you can imagine, it’s been a strange, sad, disorienting few weeks for us here, to say the least. But we’ve seen and felt all of your love and support, and we know that Andy’s family has too.

A couple weeks ago we received the result from the medical examiners, which Andy’s family asked us to share with you now. Andy suffered an aortic dissection while at home on May 26. So, even though it was far, far too soon, he passed naturally and without prolonged suffering.

We had a celebration of Andy’s life in London last week, which was a beautiful ceremony and gathering with a few tears, but filled with the great memories of who Andy was, stories of all of our times together, and some good laughs. Andy was celebrated in a room full of many of his friends and family, our immediate DM family, and so many people who have touched Andy’s and our lives throughout the years. All being together was a very special way to remember Andy and see him off.

So thank you for all of the love you’ve shown Andy and his family and friends over the last few weeks. It honestly means the world to all of us. Andy, you’ll be missed, but certainly not forgotten.

    Love,
    Martin & Dave
