I don't really consider myself qualified enough to answer this properly as I've only been to two U2 shows so far.. so for me, the best show I attended was Melbourne 19/11/06. It had a lot to do with the fact that I was down the front and that the crowd were so loud and enthusiastic!
If we're talking best concert in general......Slane would have to be it!
As for favourite downloaded show....that's going to take a bit more thinking time but off the top of my head, the NYE show in Dublin in '89 is up there...amongst others!
the 2nd melbourne show i attended and was absolutely unreal!!! The sound was just incredible and if U2 can out class this show they really are something special... I guess also the fact that it was their last show in Australia that they wanted to go out with a bit of a BANG!
Best DVD concert would have to be slane
Best bootleg would have to be Elevation Tour live from South Bend
ive been to 15 shows over the last 15 years. i think being at a show and just listening to a show are two different things.
you have the moment that cant be duplicated in just audio form.
the best live experience show i have been to would have to be opening night of zootv in lakland florida 2/29/02. to see this for the first time was amazing. no one knew what zoo tv was. i left that show with so much emotion. i didnt know what i just experienced.
another good show was 6/15/2001 elevation in washington dc. i had no tickets drove 9 hours and got two g.a. and made it about a foot from edge in the heart. they played a great set and played 11'oclock tick tock.
best audio shows. you cant beat dublin 93, what a great set. the band were on and no flub of lyrics. just a good show.
another good one was new york elevation in june of 2001. the band said they wished they would have recorded this show instead of boston. the energy was great.
