1. there is a question i would love to know the answer to.
Who sang the vocals at the very end of A Day without me on the boy album
to me it sounds a bit extreme to be Bonos even for 1980
it could be the edges but to me there is something that dosen't sound like edges voice
on my CD copy of boy it dosen't mention anything so it must be a band member
do any of u know were i could go to find the answer
  2. I think it is definitely a very young sounding Edge, and I love it
  3. thanks i love it too
  4. you're welcome!
  5. I never liked that extreme falsetto...

It sounds a bit like The Edge, but it feels like it's been edited somehow, I mean, it sounds like it's not a natural voice but a synthetised one, maybe Edge recorded that falsetto in a key some steps below the actual key of the song, and they pitched it up till the voice reached that anti-natural key It's the only plausible explanation for me... Maybe someone can tell us wether it's Edge, Bono... or maybe Adam
  6. Yeah i does sound like a voice that has been fiddled with. The first time i heard i though it was a womans voice but now i know it couldn't be. It is very possible it could be Edge but it
definitely isn't Adams and Larry didn't sing back back then. Could it have been someone else like a person they hired to come in and do it ?
  7. It's definitely The Edge.
  8. Could be the edge. it sounds just a bit higher than his vocal on Sunday Bloody Sunday. It would be great if you could get a digital mixing desk on your computer. then we could take all the gobbldy gook that was put on the voice and find out who it was it is either Bono or Edge with something done to their voices
  9. This had been uncirculated until a few days ago when Karen Howarth unearthed it. It's hilarious to see Edge doing the ending vocals an octave lower

  10. Awesome find Sergio! You know I’m all about early U2 stuff, this is a real gem. Thanks for the link bud
  11. It's a gem, yes! I Will Follow from the same show allegedly exists too, I'll make sure to post it if it surfaces
  12. Awesome, thanks again. Absolutely love the shot of Edge when he’s singing the end vocals, great view of the Gibson Explorer!
