1. Because The Best has been done in the 80s and 90s
  2. A 2000 - 2010 best of to me would be:

    CD 1:
    Levitate
    Electrical Storm
When I Look At The World
    Wild Honey
    The Ground Beneath Her Feet
    Summer Rain
    Stateless
    Are You Gonna Wait Forever
    City Of Blinding Lights
Original Of The Species (Single Version)
    Miracle Drug
    One Step Closer

    CD 2:
    Window In The Skies
    Kite (Live Version - 2006)
    Moment Of Surrender
    Fez / Being Born
    Magnificent (2009 Grammy Live)
    Get On Your Boots
    White As Snow
    Cedars Of Lebanon
    Winter
    Oh Berlin
    Disappearing Act

And because really, they've missed the opportunity of doing an actual good collection - U218 was totally 'by the books', include a 2010 - 2020 set - and this way, you can also claim some of the obscurities on it too.

    This Is (Aslan Cover)
    I Believe In Father Christmas
    Every Breaking Wave (Piano Version)
    Iris (Hold Me Close)
    California (Live)
Sleep Like A Baby Tonight (special extended edit with elements of the 'Perspective Mix and 'Album' version together)
Where The Streets Have No Name (U2 Minus One in Times Square with Bruce Springsteen - Live)
    The Fly (I+E 'Intermission' Version)
People Have The Power (with Patti Smith - Live)
All I Want Is You (BBC Orchestral Version from Abbey Road)
    Cedarwood Road
This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now
    Landlady
The Little Things That Give You Away (Spotify version)
    Book Of Your Heart
    Let Your Love Be Known

    I’d buy this
  4. I think a best of 00-2020 which would really be post 2002 (when last best of was released)would look more like this.

    1. Vertigo
    2. Get On Your Boots
    3. Magnificent
    4. Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own
    5. City Of Blinding Lights
    6. Invisible
    7. Lights Of Home
    8. Every Breaking Wave
    9. You’re The Best Thing About Me
    10. Get Out Of Your Own Way
    11. Original Of The Species
    12. Song For Someone
    13. Ordinary Love
    14. The Miracle
    15. Little Things That Give You Away
    16. Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way
    17. Moment Of Surrender

Based more on commercial appeal than what I’d consider the best songs from the era although some of them are in there.

Disc 2 probably just remixes and alternate mixes with maybe stuff like crystal ballroom, lucifers hands, No Line On The Horizon 2 and book of your heart thrown in. But I don’t think it will happen anyway.
