1. Does anyone else agree that Stateless sounds like it should be on No Line on the Horizon, to me it sounds like it was from the sessions and should be on there. Maybe it is just me, I don't know, what does everyone think?

Does anyone agree or am I talking rubbish?
  2. It shares themes in the verses of Unknown Caller I think. There's definitely a similarity there.

    Good song.
  3. i like stateless but im not sure it belongs in NLOTH
  4. I'd be more tempted to put it on UF because of the atmosphere it creates, but even there it's still advanced and ahead of its time.

Haunting song though. Never get tired of listening to it.

Where would you put it on the NLOTH track listing?

Maybe between Stand Up Comedy and FEZ-Being Born. But I had it at the end of my playlist on my iPod and it fitted in well. I also had Winter in there.

Where would you have it then, if at all?

I might have to try that out...I asked because I have no idea where I'd put it. I like all the transitions as they are on the album...the only place I might put it would be after Fez, but I couldn't listen to that and WAS one right after the other, and three slow/somber songs in the last third of the album might be too much.
  7. Well usually I had the first 11 normal songs, then Winter, then Stateless. I also sometimes put it on shuffle and just mix up the order which is always fun
  8. I see it somehow close to "Cedars of Lebanon", in meaning of the atmosphere created in the song. As for that, it would definitely have its place on NLOTH for me
  9. Cool, so its not just me.
It is a great song, I didn't really realised until a few months ago to be honest but I love it. Winter is amazing too. I can't wait for Songs of Ascent
  10. Love it.
  11. Not a big fan of this track
  12. One of my favorite U2 songs actually. Bono sounds so sensual even though his voice isnt at his best. I think Pop - Elevation his rough voice was almost jazz-like. like in Stateless
