1. Looking at Interference's one, I would say no
It would quickly devolve into something degenerate

Its funny how with both like The Killers and Coldplay though haha

Yea, but their music is not exactly the same as Taylor Swift's ultra-mainstream commercialised pop

I know its not...that's why I like it more
  3. I have to say I'm not the biggest fan of Taylor Swift...
Her music is alright, but I think she does to much with her voice in the studio.
I saw some live stuff and it was a little eh...

    Gotta love that autotune....

  5. Um. YES! A thousand times yes.
But Taylor has catchy songs, I'll give her that, just not my thing

And it IS possible for a guy to like her music without drooling over her, just thought I'd throw that out there.

  6. Your posts seem to degenerate this place...

Ah, and who judges that exactly? I'm totally sure that's what they have in mind when they make the songs.

  7. Well actually it pretty much is, just like Miley Cyrus, Ashley Tisdale etc. album's
Just look at how much tween oriented Taylor Swift merchandise there is

    Who?

There is a difference between liking mainstream music and liking stuff made for tween girls

As long as u2spear (Josh) likes the songs and thinks they're good and appeal to him then great. It's not my cup of tea (sort of country pop) but all to their own.

How do you know it was made for tween girls? Twilight I think we can be sure it was and all those vampire shows and books and movies, but I'm not so sure. How is mainstream defined - and wouldn't U2 be in mainstream?

Oh, I'm sure you were a big fan look before you read this thread...

If I remember correctly Dan mentioned before he liked the album.

  9. Blond girl who was in the high school musicals....i've never seen any of them but they were huge over here with the tweens and teens
