1. My Amazon.ca 5CD box has finally shipped.
  2. Been a while since i've posted but my thoughts.....

Was unable to get to a store yesterday for RSD to pick up a copy of the record due to working but saw a copy on ebay (from a trusted seller i've purchased many new records from) for $72 AUD free shipping from the States which is a cheap as i've seen it, just have to wait a week or two for delivery but can't wait.

Out of interest anyone in Australia who did grab a copy how much was it? I could have picked up a copy later in the day for $92 AUD was happy with the ebay price as some of the prices now are ridiculous.

Having listened to it online since being released here are my opinions:

    1. Picture Of You (X + W), we know it as Xanax and Wine as well as Fast Cars, think i slightly prefer FC but i think this version suits the album more being a more rockier version. 6/10

    2. Evidence Of Life, beam us back to 1980-1983 and this could fit either of the first 3 albums, this is a gem with some nostalgia to it, a cool track that would sound great live. 8/10

    3. Luckiest Man In The World, I am in the "LOVE Mercy" fan club, just one of those tracks you never sick of and this more polished version (mainly with vocals) is bloody great, which do i prefer? the more i listen the more i'm leaning towards this new version and to me it's just a classic U2 track. 9.5/10

    4. Treason, this is different, like really different in an awesome way, that rap, the guitar stabs, this is pushing the boundaries and like a few others absolutely should have been part of the main album, wow! 9/10

    5. I Don't Want To See You Smile, we know this and doesn't sound any different to the Fanclub CD version, it's decent but am actually glad it belongs to an album now and because of that will probably listen to it more than i used to. 6/10

    6. Country Mile, yeah pretty cool, took me a few listens to get into it but is growing slowly. 7/10

    7. Happiness, yeah baby! Another really cool track, may have done without the yeeeeahs at the start but they don't spoil things either, another would like to hear live. 8/10

    8. Are You Gonna Wait Forever?, it's a B-Side and i'll leave it at that, will probably skip but don't hate it, just don't love it. 4.5/10

    9. Theme from "The Batman", the title of the track kind of put me off a bit but it's a bit of a groover which has a nice flow to it. 6.5/10

    10. All Because Of You 2, it's a bit different to the original but not enough for my liking and with my playlist of the album i added Neon Lights instead, some bands have released cover versions on albums and NL closes it nicely for me. 4/10
  3. Subtract ABOY2 and add in Atomic City just because it’s recent and needs a home, and we have a pretty good album!
  4. I’d be tempted to swap out ABOY2 for window in the skies since it feels like a song from that era with it being released during the vertigo tour and played a few times then as well.

I have nothing negative to say about reassemble. At least it feels like they tried to make it interesting. It could’ve just been more recycled stuff we already had. I dig it even though I’m not a fan of the actual songs on there beside Mercy.
This. I wish we could delete SOE and SOS
  6. SOE has 2 very good song : The Little Things That Give You Away and Book of Your Heart.

SOS has over 22 very good song.. SOS is the most mature album from u2.

...Love, we shine like a burning star
We're falling from the sky tonight...

  7. This is my version of Shadow album
Hands that build as a closer
  8. Dude this is insane, the b-sides are crazy wonderful. Dismantle is like U2, and B-sides is SERIOUS U2. It would also fall under Mature. It took me a week to enjoy Treason, and wow, such a song.
  9. Could someone tell me in which songs have we got Bono's voice from our days? Example: Luckiest Man In The World (I think)
  10. 1. Evidence Of Life
    2. Luckiest Man Of The World
    3. Country Mile
    4. Happiness
