It's a very surreal experience and I'm treating this like they have been promoting this album for 20 years and it is finally released.

I was in my last year of High school when Bomb came out and now I'm less than 3 years away from 40. I have been really thinking about this while diving back into the album.
Smile is approx. 20 years old. First released on Complete U2.

  6. Sooooooo, that is a (re-)mixed bag. Some songs really shine in Atmos, but some others just fall flat. Moreover it seems like some mixes are actually missing tracks, most extreme case being City Of Blinding Lights. After the opening build up, when the original goes all out with slide guitars and pianos and synths and the works, in Atmos it sounds more like some tinky dinky demo version... I really hope this is just a matter of fixing those Atmos mixes, because right now parts of the album just suck in Atmos.
  7. I'm generally enjoying this release, but I find it pretty funny that they updated the All Because of You demo with new vocals and lyrics.
  8. happy U2Day everyone
