Moreover it seems like some mixes are actually missing tracks, most extreme case being City Of Blinding Lights. After the opening build up, when the original goes all out with slide guitars and pianos and synths and the works, in Atmos it sounds more like some tinky dinky demo version... I really hope this is just a matter of fixing those Atmos mixes, because right now parts of the album just suck in Atmos.

I thought COBL sounded really good with the guitar more upfront. But Miracle Drug sounded terrible to me. The vocals seem off
  2. Treason has to be one of the most unusual and weird songs since Numb I reckon. It's got like rap rhyme verse with a slow melodic chorus. Something different I guess
  3. I really like the album, but I can't help but feel like Native Son is really a glaring omission. Can't see why they wouldn't want to include it, but oh well.

Do you have the 10.2 speakers?
  5. Stand out track for me is Are you gonna Wait forever. Great baseline, guitar, vocals etc. Goes great with the Batman song
Picture of you, Smile, Hapiness, country Mile are nice to have.
But U2 just should have released Mercy/ Luckiest man without these new vocals plus those second vocals in the refrain. Sounds weird and anoying and so obviously redone because of the volume of the new vocals. That’s the problem with U2: endlessnreworking stuff while the thing they had was good to go as it was.
If they ever go ahead with Treason style songs it’s over for me. What the hell?
  6. I must confess, I've gone from slightly nonplussed about the whole HTDAAB anniversary, to feeling really quite nostalgic and endeared by the whole thing.

ABOY2 - omg! First verse sounds like a completely different song.

Controversial opinion, I'm actually really intrigued by Treason!

A very sensual groove, and and some interesting lyrics, too, "You come to me because you cannot have her," (unless Bono is writing from the female gaze again, à la All I Want Is You?)

One minute in, when it changes pace, I think that's where it sounds the least U2 and a bit more Y2K pop like No Scrubs or something!

And was that Edge 'spitting bars' at the end? Genuinely impressive! Would be interesting to see that performed live!

As a fan, it's not a song I would want them to release a single but it's an interesting departure from their usual stuff, and shows a different side to them.

Luckiest Man In The World felt like a warm hug from an old friend. I'm very familiar with Mercy but certainly not an aficionado like other fans on the different versions.

Because of all the speculation, I was bracing myself for this version to be a mess, but I think it sounds great - really surprised me when he sang in the lower register, and I really like the dual harmonies in the chorus!
  7. U2's The Edge talks 'Atomic Bomb' shadow album, release day excitement + more

Original of the species was the standout for me when it comes to the atmos
  9. gotta say that i felt “Luckiest Man In The World” veeery very nostalgic personally with a lot of memories about all my life, that was very strange because i never overloved “Mercy”, it’s the first time and it’s fucking crazy how U2 can do that
  10. I don't like Treason !
