1. Like so many others it would have been great to be alive to see such a spectacle! Oh well the dvd's and boots make me happy enough!
  2. I went to 9 ZOO TV shows and everyone was mind blowing. And yes, i am bragging but let's be honest where else can i brag about it
  3. ZOOTV was the best U2-Tour of for me, ever. Popmart and Elevation also great.
  4. I was watching the Sydney DVD just the other day and was still blown away by the brilliance that is ZOO TV. I love every moment of it but the thing that stands out for me is Bono in the encore, his performance is magical. His moves in Lemon and the way he acts to the camera, the passion he gives in With or Without You and Love is Blindness. How lucky are we U2 fans that U2 took the creative chance with Actung Baby, Zooropa and Zoo TV.
  5. Yeah man, ZOOTV kicked ass. I often think "if i could go see a U2 show from any tour, which tour would it be?" and i often pick ZooTV. It was the perfect blend of music and production, so mysterious and awesome. I wonder how I would've perceived it if I was one of the fans being transitioned from JT to AB and Zooropa. Would've been neat.
  6. This is one of the few eras in U2's history I wish I could have been a part of to experiece. I was around during the ZooTV era but I was quite young and I hadn't discovered U2. But what ZooTV does do, is it represents a time when TV was GOOD. RIP 1990's.

    what about Lost?
  8. I was reading the booklet from the ZooTV like from Sydney DVD. There is some weird facts in it.
'Number of minutes Russians have to work to buy a Big Mac: 988'
'Most popular size of artificial breast implant: 36C'

Also the first sentence on a page is "Zoo TV's ravishing opening sequence is still virtual Viagra".

That is proper U2. I love it.

  9. I'm not denying there is still good stuff to watch (I love 24 for example) but how many more shows like Lost and 24 can you say these days have the same 'quality'? The shows that are popular and good, are only but a few these days, whereas in the 90's there were tons of good shows on TV. Today you might get 4 or 5 max and the rest is filled with reality TV crap.

Cartoons/shows for kids in the 90's was also 100000x better. If anyone here can remember the old Nickelodeon of the 90's will know this to be true.

Anyway this is going off topic.

  10. 'Number of minutes Russians have to work to buy a Big Mac: 988'

What, what, WHAT?!!!! Where can I take a look at that booklet?

Two days? Are you kidding, how much does Big Mac cost?

I love ZooTV since I watched it for the first time That was my first U2 DVD and now I am a big fan of them. My favorite moment...ah, entire era.

I like bizarre moment with ZooBaby and Russian song, just before Daddy's Gonna Pay.

Though, I'm Russian myself I didn't recognise all the words from it because of poor quality. Now I do. It was pretty much funny to hear Russian song on the concert of Irish band in Australia.

  11. I Was there when salman rushdie appeared on stage
