1. Went for a run today with the mindset of getting myself back on the right side of fitness after a few busy years that have somewhat hindered my physical activities. Was just wondering if anyone here is a bit of a health and fitness buff?

Do you regularly cycle/run/swim for more than pleasure? Do you always eat your 5 a day and keep your inner body clean?

I'm hoping now to get back into a decent schedule for exercise now and over the summer, hopefully it'll go well and I can motivate myself to keep the levels of activity up over the winter periods when it is hardest.

  2. I always walk/run and swim for just pleasure.

I cycle everyday but that's just a matter of transport, I go by bike from my home to the bus stop... But otherwise I don't do anything related to fitness or whatever
  3. i have startted cycling again after a gap of a few years....and lo and behold i can actually get there faster ..the legs were a bit tight last night but id say ill be fairly fit in a bit..
  4. Health and Fitness is my key. I try to fit in alot of it but of course, things get in the way and you end up forgetting about it.

I eat my 5 a day. Only times I don't is if I either forget to or if there is no fruit left in the house. I don't go out for runs but I walk alot and go with friends alot. We usually play football, rugby or basketball when it's sunny but that's something Scotland lacks.
  5. I'm an active jogger (runner or whatever the best word is) for 3 years now. Best time was the 5km in 20:04. Doing minor marathons every now and then.

And I love to cycle and play indoor football.

That's how I keep myself fit and healthy..or how I try to keep it
  6. Was walking 3 miles to and 3 miles home from work a day but thats up in the air now due to a new project im working on. Planes Trains and Automobiles from now on
  7. I used to play loads of football, hour after hour, day after day. But other things arose and unsettled everything. Now everything is settled and I have a bit of time on my hands I'd like to get back into a similar shape that I remember.

Going to start running in the morning before the world starts then it's out of the way. I do walk 4 miles (approx.) at least 3 times a week to and from uni. But like I said, now I'm contented with how everything is I'm ready to rock and roll.

Got a half marthon lined up in a few weeks (looking forward to it but also dreading it sicne I'm out of breath just thinking about it) and hoping to compete in the London Marathon within the next few years. So I have a few goals to work towards, which helps.

Need to start eating the right foods again too. Got a little junky recently and I can tel the effect it has because I sometimes feel lethargic and in the mood for a stint in front of the TV, which then means more chocolate or the like. No more now, well in moderation I suppose.
  8. just cycling and tennis for me. in the past also soccer.
  9. Weightlifting everyday.
  10. im in love with running. theres nothing better than my 10km route in the evening. Weightlifting is pretty cool too. This stuff helped me lose almost 100pounds in 4 months! I can never eat regularly thou...

im glad u opened this topic.

  11. Gym twice a week

Need to do more though, started eating healthier a while ago. But still need to push it to the next level.
  12. My school has three fitness centers (aerobic & anaerobic), a full gymnasium (track/field, basketball, volleyball, etc.), an indoor pool area, an outdoor (american) football (turf) field, out door track/field area, five tennis courts, three baseball/softball fields and a (euro/world) football (turf) field. The oldest equipment in the main fitness center is from 2004, and the turf fields were completed in 2006. The tennis courts were finished (with gardens, etc.) just earlier this year.

As you can tell, my school is the perfect place to be if you want to get into or stay in shape lol. (Durfee high till' I die!) Especially since the creation of the "Fitness Club" earlier this year. I work out whenever my schedule allows, which is two to four times a week, from a half hour to two hours. I'm mainly focusing on aerobic exercises, as I'm trying to lose weight. However, I'll be honest... I absolutely hate every minute that I spend doing it.

However, my diet does not match my weight lol. I eat like someone who is under weight, yet I am 15 and weigh 220 (yeah, I typed that correctly.) I eat very well, and I don't like a lot of junk food.
