Haha wow, sounds like a fun story. Was there a different gig at the arena? Maybe the t-shirts from a completely different band should have been a hint
  2. I’ve had this in Birmingham too, we were waiting for a gig at the O2 Academy and a few girls in front of us were waiting to see another band at the O2 Institute Fortunately these are closer together than the arenas. I always have to triple check when I have gig at an arena in Birmingham.

It was a comedian at the other venue. Not a huge line early. I was happy to be at the front. The best was the ticket takers trying to scan the tickets over and over, they didn’t even realize they were the wrong ones. managed to get right up a few nights later in Glasgow so all was good.

Was a huge fan. Did multiple shows and travelled internationally to do so. Got into promo shows like the album preview shows for The Suburbs, and even saw them perform as Shark Attack.

But haven’t even listened to the last two albums. Win is an ass. And eventually that became hard to ignore and affected my enjoyment of the music. I expect in the long run a lot more will come out, if this all continues. And I had little surprise when I did read about these accusations.

  4. At what point in the night was this taken? If it’s in the middle of their set then, yeah, maybe it shows a lack of ticket sales. But if it was before the support act was on or while the support act was playing, then it’s not a fair representation. Context matters.

Most people are saying the venue was about 3/4 full. Seems to be confirmed by photos from during the set, lots of empty space at the back of the GA area, some empty blocks of seats. I wonder how much of empty spaces is due to no-shows and how much is just unsold tickets - the latter would have nothing to do with the current controversy.

Wow, that is some journey from fandom to indifference

I agree that more accusations are likely to come out. And with the current situation, the #MeToo movement and the increasing awareness of people around the world about sexual behaviour -including new sexual consent laws being approved- it's only a matter of time until Win and the band as a hole get cancelled.

such a shame for the innocent band members - and the many fans like me, who feel cheated
  11. Arcade Fire was the first band that I got hooked on after U2 as a kid. Been listening to them since 2006. Saw them live two times, they were incredible, mindblowing. My coworkers bought me WE vinyl for my birthday few weeks ago.

And then this shit. Fucking Win broke my heart by hurting these women.
