I would love them to release something heavy without being produced to within an inch of it's life!!
well yea, ur right mate, anything that sounds more heavy that any u2 album released before it’s better.

Atomic city it’s the less serious u2 song and that’s why i love it, it’s funny

We can both keep our fingers crossed for something heavier and exciting next from the boys🤞😂
  3. Your Song Saved My Life is a wonderful little song, very melodic and clearly heartfelt. I wouldn’t mind an album like that.
Atomic City may be catchy but it’s also generic and uninspired - the main reason that it’s catchy is that it’s a knockoff of a better song.
At least Your Song Saved My Life is an original melody…

Anyone else notice that U2 haven't really done something strikingly original since 2015 IE tour?

    2017 JT rehash
2018 EI rehash and new SOE
    2019 JT re-re hash
    2020 zilch
    2021 nada
    2022 nil
2023 rehash acoustic/Sphere was new but no new material
2024 b sides remaster and Sphere AB continuation

You forget the pandemic and Larry.'s health. Also SOS book/tour.
  7. Those are true. I did not mention them. I referred to SOS as acoustic rehash.
  8. The book and Bono tour werent a rehash.

Also given the new musical arrangements (and in some cases new lyrics) SOS a.rehash? Ok.
  9. these years should be known as “Nostalgic Era”
we didn’t got anything new since 2017
  10. except for atomic city and we better forget about your song saved my life

  11. You may leave your seats now Boston...this is Out of Control

So went the intro to this brilliant concert I taped off the radio back in 1983 that gave me my first taste of how great U2 was as a live band. That tape died some time last century so I was delighted to find a recording here after joining the site - https://u2start.com/shows/581

Fast forward to today, where I am on holiday in Boston and stumble across The Orpheum theatre where it all took place. Quite satisfying to link this physical place with a show that cemented my belief in the band some 40 years ago.
  12. I grew up outside Boston. Too young to see the early legendary U2 shows, but I got to see some other great music at that venue over the years.
