  5. Off to see U2NL in a minute. Hope they're good, you'll hear from me.
  6. That was really a great show. Even bought a dvd of it afterwards. Setlist was a good mix of mostly 80's classics, some little less known songs and modern hits. And they finished it with 40. Their sound is U2, if you close your eyes you hear the real U2 in there. Of course the singer's voice is quite different then Bono's one, but he can sing very well. He did a great job. He even forgot the lyrics at A Sort Of Homecoming, how Bono can you be. The moves, the way of speaking, the 'jokes' (We're a band from the East side of Holland
during the intro of Out Of Control), it was just soo real.

About the stage, well that was better than expected. They had a mini-claw in there, used loads of video material and light effects. They even had the Zoo Confessions

Go see them once if you can, you won't be disappointed.
  7. Wow, great review, Rob Glad that you had a good time!

PS. You bought a DVD of the show?

This venue unfortunately no longer has bands inside but if you're ever in Melbourne for St Pats day make your way there - The Dan O'Connell Hotel.

An interesting thread! Are there to many U2 tributes? Probably, but there's only one U2. To those who don't like them - that's what the off switch is for. And what a great excuss for collecting expensive sunglasses

The Best U2 tribute? Coldplay for sure! and the best payed!!

And what do the best U2 tributes always worry about? Where are the best sound/lighting guys

Thanks from downunder and a special hi to 'Ed'
