1. In 2009, U2 released their twelveth album No Line on The Horizon. they were going to promote the CD with a tour.
    in February and March of 2009. U2 started a Promotional Tour where they appeared on Letterman five different nights. Appeared on the Good Morning America Show. in May. they also paid tribute to the Late Late Show as it was it's in final course performing Magnificent. also. U2 appeared on a special Island CD Concert to perform only two songs on their old hits. One and Vertigo.

    in June. U2 headed to Barcelona to do some early soundchecks. the Rehearsal began on June 17. band soundchecked some old school songs from Drowning Man. Angel of Harlem. in A Little While. The Unforgettable Fire. MLK & Ultraviolet. Walk On was also added to the rehearsal set in June 18 and so was One & Elevation. as they all tried to make it to the setlist. Beautiful Day also was the first song on soundcheck for June 18. Sunday Bloody Sunday also made it to the soundcheck on June 19. and even more interesting. both Even Better Than The Real Thing & Bad made it to the soundchecking list. Even Better Than The Real Thing had not been played since the Elevation Tour in June of 2001 while Bad hadn't been played in December 4. 2006. later in the week. the band soundchecked If God Will Send His Angels & Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own. both songs hadn't been played since June 1997 and December 2006 together. there was also a new version of Crazy Tonight this time remixed. in June 24. they rehearsed 2 little songs from Drowning Man & Stuck in A Moment You Can't Get Out Of on Piano. last time Stuck In A Moment was played it was in November 2006 full band & electric. the next day. Stuck in A Moment was stripped down acoustically like it usually was on the Vertigo Tour. also Mysterious Ways also made an appearance as well. in the final soundchecking. Mysterious Ways was reported to be an acoustic performance. that concluded the rehearsal on June 27. but U2 did do a dress rehearsal. the only songs missing were Drowning Man and Mysterious Ways. but The Unforgettable Fire. MLK. Walk On & Ultraviolet made their returns. also Moment of Surrender ended the encore after With or Without You & Ultraviolet. this was the first time since March 2001 a new song hadn't been played in the encore.

    U2 did the usual set on their first night on the tour kicking off with Breathe followed by No Line on The Horizon and Get on Your Boots!.and also Magnificent. and moving to the old school songs. also Angel of Harlem was snippeted with Michael Jackson's songs Man in The Mirror and Don't Stop Til you Get Enough. before Unknown Caller Began. Bono would talk to the ISS team. in the middle of the set. both MLK & Walk On were dedicated to Aung San Suu Kyi who was under house arrest since 1989!. Walk On was written to her on the All That You Can't Leave Behind CD. The encores were to follow with Streets & One. but they were kept in the main set. the encore ranged from Ultraviolet. With or Without You & Moment of Surrender.

    on the second night of the tour. U2 brought back more surprises. a stripped down Acoustic Desire with the Full Band. with Michael Jackson's snippets consisted of Billie Jean and Don't Stop Til You Get Enough. after an Acoustic Performance of Desire. Party Girl was brought to the setlist. also a first time ever version of Electrical Storm. with electric & full band. the band played Crazy Tonight remix and normal version.

    the band headed to Italy 5 days later and did one surprise song. Party Girl as Bono brought his second daughter on stage for her birthday. then it switched to the usual set. the second night. the band did another stripped down version of Desire followed by an Acoustic Stuck in A Moment including Electrical Storm!.

    band did it's usual set in Paris the first night despite Desire making an appearance. but on the second night. Mysterious Ways made a return it had not been played since December 2006. in Nice. the band did the usual set.

    but in Berlin. U2 brought up some surprises. U2 brought a local group up during Angel of Harlem and they played incredibly well. including an Acoustic Version of Stay (Faraway So Close). a song that had not been played in 20 months since Bono and Edge played a surprise set in Islington. this was also when U2 rehearsed Achtung Baby & Zooropa in Berlin.

    the band headed to Amsterdam for the first night and did the usual set like Barcelona. but on the second night. band brought back old songs. Elevation. One. Until The End of The World & Bad. One made it's early appearance since May of 2001. while Bad closed the main set in February 2001.

    the band did 3 shows in their hometown of Dublin. at the end of the Acoustic Set. band did a cover of the Auid Triangle. then One was played in the main set again. followed by Until the End of The World sequed into The Unforgettable Fire. Bad again closed the main set. now particularly four songs from The Unforgettable Fire hadn't played a concert since December 1989. the second night was played as usual. it was not a crazy setlist. but the third night was a little wild. New Year's Day made an appearance since 2006. then Stay also came back 10 days since being played in Berlin. Bad also ended the main set for the third time.

    in Gothenburg. the band did like an Achtung Baby setlist. only three songs. Mysterious Ways. One. Until the end of The World until they went into a usual acoustic set. Streets closed the main set for the first time since March 1998. the second night. they changed the set differently. with a stripped down Stay. and Electrical Storm taking the place of The Unforgettable Fire!.

    UF returned in Germany. New Year's Day also made an appearance in Chorzow. in Zagreb. band changed a little set with One & Until the End of The World making the second time Streets ended in the main set. in the second night. band did an usual set. band also played in London with Mysterious Ways closing for the first time on the second night. Until The End of The World & New Year's Day were played together again since November 2006. also Bad ended the main set. Mysterious Ways ended the main set as well at Sheffield. band ended their first leg of the tour in Cardiff with Bad ending the main set and playing the usual songs they did.



    band returned on the second leg in September. they played a usual setlist with Bad ending the main set. but on the second night. New Changes took place. Your Blue Room made an appearance for the first time since their CD: Passengers in 1995. with Unknown Caller & The Unforgettable Fire seperated by Until The End of The World & Stay. One & Streets made their way making it Encore 1 for them. Pride missed a setlist since August 28. 2001.

    band played the same set when they were in Toronto. but on the second night. band played New Year's Day & an Acoustic Stuck In A Moment. both songs hadn't been played in the US since 2005. New Year's Day final performance in the US was in Boston while Stuck in A Moment was last played in Salt Lake City in December of 2005. on the second night in Foxboro. band switched Breathe into Magnificent. it was scheduled to be slated first on the tour. but Breathe decided to take it's place.

    in East Rutherford. band made some changes. including a Bruce Springsteen's Cover of She's The One followed by a full snippet of Desire with Electric & Full Band rather than Acoustic. No Line on The Horizon was also played late in the set when Magnificent was played second after Breathe. the second night. Magnificent & NLOTH were played somewhat early in the set 5th and 6th. followed by Unknown Caller which returned.

    in Landover. NLOTH missed a setlist for the first time. band did a short set with 22 songs. but it returned in Charlottesville with I Still Haven't Found played late in the set. In A Little While also made it's return. last time it played in the US was in Las Vegas in 2005!. band returned to Atlanta to change up the setlist. with Until the End of The World sequed into The Unforgettable Fire!. the set was repeated in Tampa. until it went back to Normal in Arlington with No Line on The Horizon & Elevation still played late in the set.

    in Houston. Your Blue Room returned with the same setlist. then In A Little While also made it's return in Olkahoma. band repeated this setlist they also made a DVD of their set in Rose Bowl placing it on YouTube. U2 ended their second leg in Vancovuer.

    Band returned two days later to do a concert in Madison Square Garden with the Hall of Famers. and also they played in Berlin playing 6 songs with Jay-Z joining them on Sunday Bloody Sunday. band took a well deserved break. but Bono and The Edge made half appearances joining Jay-Z & Rihanna on the Hope for Haiti Show. they sang a version of Stranded. also played at the funeral of Gerry Ryan when they sang his favorite song With or Without You.



    but when U2 were ready to play Glastonbury 2010 & re-start their third leg of their tour. Bono injured his back causing the tour to be postponed til 2011. and the third leg of the tour would be still on where they would return to where it all began. but The Edge appeared in Glastonbury. he made an appearance playing with Muse to cover Where The Streets Have No Name. this was the second appearance of a U2 member since 1989!.


    band took a break. but came back to rehearse. they brought some surprises with their 1995 hit from Batman Forever. HMTMKMKM. Miss Sarajevo & an Unknown Song that was known as Glastonbury. on the final night of soundcheck. Band also played an unknown song. after the soundcheck. Bono gave out Pizzas to the crowd yay Pizzas. in March of 1992 on the ZOOTV Tour. Bono called Speedy Pizza while they were doing a show in Auburn Hills and during the encore. Pizzas were brought out on stage. band did 3 new songs with Return of the Stingray Guitar. North Star & Glastonbury. Beautiful Day also was played second in the main set followed by Magnificent and Get on Your Boots. Miss Sarajevo was played after in a Little While while HMTMKMKM retained it's place in the encore since March of 1998.

    in Frankfurt. the band brought back New Year's Day. it's final performance was in October of 2009. The Unforgettable Fire was dropped from the setlist after having played it Four Times. moving Until the End of The World to the Main Setlist.

    North Star was played in Helsinki. but it wasn't played Acoustic. it was played Electric but not Full Band. on the second night in Helsinki. Band brought back some surprises. I Will Follow the last time it was played it was on the last night of the Vertigo Tour. including a stripped down acoustic performance of No Line on The Horizon. followed by a new song called Every Breaking Wave and missing in action for 11 months. Pride. the second show in Helsinki. i would give the show two thumbs up.

    the next night in Moscow. Pride made another appearance followed by a surprise performance of Knockin on Heaven's Door. band had not played this song since December 2001. Bono did however play it solo on Christmas Eve in 2009!. it was covered by a rock band named DDT. in Vienna. there was another change they brought Every Breaking Wave. While I Will Follow made another appearance in Athens 13 days that it had been already played. Pride also came in the setlist as well.

    in Istanbul. band brought back another old-school version from the Joshua Tree. Mothers of the Disappeared. featured Edge on Acoustic Guitar. Larry on Drums followed w/Tympani Mallets. and a special guest Zulfu Livaneli. Zulfu would play a song of his called Yigidim Aslanim Burda Yatiyor.

    in Zurich. band switched the set. Magnificent was played after Return of The Stingray Guitar. Mysterious Ways & Until the End of The World were both played together. followed by Elevation after Glastonbury. band did another surprise on the second night. singing Mercy. a song that was played from the HTDAAB sessions. including Mothers of The Disappeared this time with Edge on his Les Paul followed by Walk On!. the encore was cut short with One. Streets & Moment of Surrender dropping With or Without You. HMTMKMKM in the process. Ultraviolet also still was in the set as well. band played the same set in Munich.

    MLK did however make a return in Paris which was sad to say that Mothers of the Disappeared didn't last long. band did a usual set in Brussels. but on the second night. it changed. with Angel of Harlem which was last played in July followed by Bad. both Angel of Harlem & Bad were played together . Pride also was played late after Crazy Tonight replacing Sunday Bloody Sunday for the second time.

    band brought another surprise after surprise. it was an original b-side from I Still Haven't Found. Spanish Eyes which was last played in August of 2001, they brought in back for the San Sebastian show band did the usual set in Seville. but in Coimbra on their second night. band played one surprising song called Boy Falls From The Sky a song that was played from Spiderman: Turn off The Dark. Band ended their third leg in Rome with Bad making it's return followed by a snippet of All I Want Is You!.



    band returned in November in the 4th leg of New Zealand and Australia. Band dedicated One Tree Hill to the Miners in New Zealand who passed away on the first night followed by a version of Scarlet with Jay-Z after the surprising unarrest of Aung San Suu Kyi. Scarlet had not been played in any tour since it's debut in 1981!. on the second night of the tour. band brought back Angel of Harlem & New Year's Day.

    in Melbourne. band brought back Mercy & Bad. on the second night. band also brought back Stuck In A Moment still played acoustic a song that hadn't been played since October 2009!. North Star would be played in Brisbane. on the second night. band also played Mercy and Bad with snippets of John Lennon's in My Life & Instant Karma. in Sydney. this was a usual set despite Stuck In A Moment & Bad being played together. the next night. band did All I Want Is You followed by Love Rescue Me that was one of the coolest surprises ever. band ended their two shows in Perth. but on the last leg of the tour. band brought three surprises All I Want Is You. Love Rescue Me & Desire kinda like a Rattle & Hum segment



    band returned on their fifth leg in Johannesburg playing off their same set. but one surprise left out. Return of The Stingray Guitar was dropped and Beautiful Day was played first. this was the first time a usual old song had not been played since January 10. 1990 when Bullet The Blue Sky was played on the Lovetown Tour first. if somewhat counted. Sunday Bloody Sunday was played first in August of 1992. the first song of the dress rehearsal setlist.

    Band did a usual set in Santiago. but they brought back One Tree Hill which was dedicated to Victor Jara. also band did a snippet of Mothers of The Disappeared before Where The Streets Have No Name. but in La Plata. band brought back a big surprise with Even Better Than The Real Thing. a song that had not been played since June of 2001. on the second night. New Year's Day was brought in the set too followed by Stuck in A Moment You Can't Get Out Of!. on the third night. band brought back Return of the Stingray Guitar first followed by Even Better Than The Real Thing which was played Fifth. followed by a version of Solo Le Pido A Dios with Leon Geico. there were two Unforgettable Fire segments as well. Pride (In The Name of Love) & Bad.

    band also spent 3 shows in Sao Paulo. the first was a little bit usual. but on the second night. band brought back two surprises. Out of Control which hadn't been played in December 4. 2006 followed by Zooropa which was brought back a few times on the Zooropa Tour. it had not been played since August 1993!. on the final show. band did a acoustic version of the Model.



    their final leg would come in North America. band did a usual set on the first night. but on the second night. they brought back surprises from Out of Control. an Acoustic Version of Desire and another stripped down performance of Stay (Faraway So Close). on the Third Show of the Tour. Band brought back New Year's Day. All I Want Is You & Love Rescue Me. in a dress rehearsal in Denver. band did a new setlist. I Still Haven't Found was thrown out of the setlist. followed by In A Little While. All I Want Is You & Stay were both played together followed by Beautiful Day & Pride (In The Name of Love). band would repeat these songs in similar shows. even a new version of Magnificent was played similar to Crazy Tonight.

    in the second show of Anaheim. the show consisted of an old-school setlist. played with Even Better Than The Real Thing. including The Fly followed by Mysterious Ways. Until The End of The World. One. Streets. I Will Follow. Boots. Still Haven't Found. Stuck in A Moment. Elevation & Beautiful Day. this was Joshua Tree/Achtung Baby/Lovetown all put together.


    the same set was repeated again in Glastonbury. Bad also made an appearance in Glastonbury played after Sunday Bloody Sunday followed by Pride. marking the 1985 Live Aid Appearance all over again. Out of Control ended the show.


    in Miami. Band brought back North Star a song in which Transformers was used. in Nashville. band brought back another surprise. a special guest played All I Want Is You with the band on guitar. then in Chicago. band played more surprises. Out of Control and a 25-year tribute surprise to Greg Carroll playing One Tree Hill. One Tree Hill had not been played in the US since December 20. 1987. moving to the middle part of the tour. Magnificent returned in it's normal version. Moment of Surrender struggled to stay in the setlist. Out of Control made sponteaous appearances. Bad & Out of Control would replace MOS. Out of Control ended the set in East Rutherford. Bad ended the set in Pittsburgh.

    the band ended their 360 tour finally in Moncton with two surprises in the encore. Out of Control & 40 a song that hadn't been played on the tour since February of 2006!. 40 had not been played on a final tour since March of 1998. infact it hadn't been played full band since January 1990. the usual Popmart appearances were rarely acoustic by Bono and The Edge after One. the band wrapped up the 360 tour in Moncton.



    but the band made some rare appearances This Year when Bono and Edge played a special acoustic concert at Los Angeles for Bill Clinton. when they brought two surprises. A Man & A Woman and Staring at The Sun. followed by an orchestral version of One which hadn't been played orchestrally since June 2003. and Miss Sarajevo since it's first appearance in September of 1995!. at Netherlands. Bono made an appearance playing One with a full orchestra marking the second time One had been played with a full orchestra in 2011!. The U2 360 Tour had been brought back to a lot of surprises. some we would never expect to be back again. but it sent an example that U2 re-dreamed it up all again. in December 1989. Bono's words were we had to go away and dream it up all again they certainly did when they released Achtung Baby. and with No Line on The Horizon. the band dreamt it up all again. it was no dream. the 360 tour was accomplished like it had been designed to.
