  2. Was at this gig as well. Great night. I actually got tickets by requesting them through an advert in the NME (ah the days before the internet). Strange old venue the NEC, seemed to be in the middle of no where. Saw some great gigs there though.

    U2 the next night. The Zoo TV tour when the weather was awful. Big Country, Simple Minds, Marillion, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Madness, Ultravox, Levellers. Always seemed like a massive hanger. If you were at the back, the sound took ages to travel too you.
