    The recording sessions for No Line On The Horizon started in 2007 in Morocco and continued in the band's own studios in Dublin, before continuing at New York's Platinum Sound Recording Studios and finally being completed and mixed in London's now-defunct Olympic Studios in late 2008.

    Four new songs dubbed 'the beach clips' which may well be the final songs on the untitled U2 album are recorded on a mobile phone outside Bono's house on Eze Beach and subsequently uploaded to YouTube and other file-sharing sites. Universal Music issues C&D orders and take-down notices, but they continue to be shared privately.
