1. hi everybody,

according to u2tour.de ( or to next years Universal Catalog ) there are gonna be 2 remasters next year: in june TUF, and in September AB.
I think its quiet nice to re-release them, but just if there will be a lot of extra content like on the Joshua Tree one!!

So, what do u guys think???

  2. Well, we'll likely get the four Wide Awake tracks, which will be nice. Dunno what Achtung will have as extra, though.

  3. Hopefully not 10 remixes of Lady With the Spinning Head.

Fantastic news, though. 2009 certainly will be a busy year for them. (And an expensive one for us )
  4. 2009: TUF (best album '80s), AB (best album 90s), No Line On The Horizon (?) (best album 00s?)
Further: North Star 2009: Live from Rotterdam (tour dvd ), 5 number one singles, 110 new boots and an awesome evening in *fill in stadium in your neighbourhood*.

    Can't wait for new year

    No Line IN The Horizon
  6. well, I don't need all their albums remastered. leave them as they are, and I'm happy. just my two pennies
  7. I would love a better quality Unforgettable Fire and some new tracks on a bonus disc. I would also like bonus track for Achtung Baby, but does it really need a remaster? I thought that since halfway 1991 or so (which includes AB) all albums were recorded digitally, so you can't really make it much better, just different (i.e. loudly mixed like lots of records during the last few years ).

And what about Rattle and Hum?

I just want it for the nice inside booklets lol

I thought they would release R&H end of this year...which is now
  9. UF could do with the work as long as it is done properly and i'd like a 1st or 3rd leg ZOOTV pro-shot please.
  10. I'm more looking forward to an UF-DVD. Good news though.

  11. No confirmation of box sets for either "The Unforgettable Fire" or "Achtung Baby". Would be nice if one or both DID get the Deluxe Box treatment, like "The Joshua Tree".

The Unforgettable Fire will probably have "Wide Awake In America and other era B-Sides. (Sixty Seconds in Kingdom Come. long single version of Pride (In The Name of Love), Bass Trap...

They could add the live version of "A Sort of Homecoming" that was released in Australia, with different vocal.

Hopefully there will be some unheard outtakes, alternate takes any/or non-released unheard other tunes.

For Achtung Baby? All the B's would be fine but it would be great if there were other things there that we'd not heard... or maybe some cleaned up takes from the AB sessions... just like "Where Did It All Go Wrong" got cleaned up and released as a "B"...

Suppose we will have to wait... Time will tell.

  12. Yeah, and I'm now out of a job

    I can't wait for a POP remaster

    Amen
