1. I found a copy of the Best Of 90-00 with the B-Side disc at a used store the other day- can't find them in ANY new-cd retailers (that's the big boxes for ya)...anyway, I had mentioned before that "Lemon" was the one song by U2 that everyone loved, and I simply just could not stand.

The Jeep Remix on the 2nd disc of Best of 90-00 has completely changed the song for me. I could hear the vocal track on the Jeep mix, which really showcased most of the beauty of the song...and going back to the original, it all translates over and completes the song for me.

    Thought I'd share.

Also, glad to finally have a hard copy of the LWTSH Extended Dance Remix, and the William Orbit Electrical Storm remix, which suddenly whips the 360° version into perspective for me. I never understood the song live, and could understand why they dropped it, until I realized they were playing this version- and now I want it back!

Lemon is one of my favorites and I really love the Jeep Mix. I could see them performing this mix. I think it's an easier version to do.
  3. To me the Jeep Mix is crap (like most of their remixes), even worse than the Perfecto mix, completely ruins the song, has a completely different tone and feel to the album versions.

You might also want to listen to the single version of Lemon, its shorter and the verses and choruses are arranged differentl (like the live performances). Probably easier to like than the album version.
  4. I got most remixes, and most of them are okay in my opinion. There are some remixes from Magnificent and Bad that I like, but none of the remixes I have, can top the original. Not one of them.
I keep on the lookout for any new ones of course: 1: to keep my collection growing, and 2: there might be that special remix to be released in the future that tops everything I've ever heard. You never know...
  5. For a long time I was against the idea of dance remixes to U2 songs. I felt that they didn't go together, that is until I realized how many the band have comissioned themselves. Now I have a playlist on my iPod of U2 dance mixes for the gym.
  6. Well, at least you found a good purpose for those remixes. And yes, it's true that the U2-music and dance go together, but I hardly ever play them. Aside from the Magnificent-remixes: I do play these regularly.
  7. Is there such thing as an extended version of the Temple Bar Edit of Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses? If so does anyone know where to find it? I tried to download the fruitleg but it was not working for me the other day.

  9. sweet i have been lookin for it for ages. can i check my messages too?

  10. If you want to.... It's not like I sent you a message or anything....
  11. I am really digging the Perfecto mix of Mysterious Ways right now. The Brothers in Ambient mix of Staring At The Sun found on Artificial Horizon is quite interesting too as it sounds to be a remix of an unplugged performance? AND I can't get enough of the Crazy Tonight (U2360 Live) Mix.
  12. I reckon the following are remixes that bring something interesting to the U2 canon;

    Desire (Hollywood Remix)
    Mysterious Ways (Massive Attack Remix)
    Stay (Underdog Mix)
    Dirty Day (Bitter Kiss) Mix
Bottoms (Watashitachi No Ookina Yume) (Zoo Station Remix)
Staring At The Sun (Brothers In Rythym Ambient Mix)
    Elevation (Influx Mix)
    New York (KLF Nice Mix)
City Of Blinding Lights (Hot Chip 2006 Remix)
I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight (Live U2360 Remix)

    Interesting ‘unofficial/fruitleg remix’:
When I Look At The World (All Kinds of Chaos Mix)

    Great cover/use of U2 sample:
Saul Williams – Sunday Bloody Sunday
