1. Does anyone like them?
I thought they were not exactly my cup of tee... Until last week. This last days I have found myself loading some of their stuff on my iPod and playing it every now and then... I really like some of their songs (obviously Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors, but also some others as Bones, When Anger Shows, Bricks And Mortars, Well Worn Hand, etc).
I've seen some live stuff on youtube and they certainly rock... even though they don't seem to better their studio work.

I think they are a strange mash of some U2, some The Verve, some The Killers, some Snow Patrol, some AC/DC and some Radiohead........... and I like it.
  2. YES!! i Love the Editors!! I'm not exactly sure how I came about the band but I've been listening ever since. I actually just purchased thier latest release last week!! There's just something about thier sound. I enjoy them very much!!
Here's one of my favorite songs from Editors!! Awesome!!

  3. Great band!
  4. Tom has a great voice and the band is not afraid to experiment, look at the synthesizers on their latest album.
    They are gonne be huge.
  5. Top band and superb live
  6. I wish they were opening for U2 in the US....
  7. They opened for Muse last Wednesday in Madrid and I enjoyed their concert a lot. I will copy the extract from my review of the whole concert:

They played an excellent set: In This Light And On This Evening / Bones / An End Has A Start / Smokers Outside The Hospital Doors / Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool / Bullets / Munich - pseudo-encore - The Racing Rats / Papillon. I knew 6 of the 9 songs and sung along to most of them. People seemed to know Munich and Papillon the most, and I went a bit crazy during Smokers..., my favorite song of them.

The singer looked like he had snorted a big amount of cocaine - he has doing strange faces and gestures, and looked pretty skizophrenial (is that the right word? lol). I do'nt know if he acts like that always, or if he was under drugs yesterday. Anyway, a tremendous performance that got people's attention, and even got the GA crowd jumping for 2 or 3 songs. They plaved for 45 minutes set + 10 minutes encore (from 20:40 to 21:35). Overall = 7'5 or even 8 / 10 (not bad at all for a support band!!!).

    Editors opening for Muse? Sweet!

Tom Smith always acts that way on stage - quite unusual I agree!

Aside from Eat Raw Meat = Blood Drool , that is an awesome set!!
  9. Yes, Eat Raw Meat sounded good but it's a crappy song so...

I missed The Weight Of The World and some others were wrongly placed (Papillon as closer? They'd better not close their own shows with it, Munich or even Smokers would work much better as closers!!) but it was a very good show overall.

Good to know that he wasn't under cocaine or so, thanks
  10. I'm going to see them tommorow as support act for Muse!
