1. i didn't mean Sarajevo was the best show thay ever played; it was an event not only a musical show and it is a milestone as i said in U2 career.
like others in their history; live aid .. i don't think it was their best acts .. but here it is .. another event .. milestone. there are Bad played much better than live aid.
in my personal experience Turin, not of last year but 2001, was one of my best and Bono voice was definitely not at its best.
i don't think at a show only if one song is played perfect .. i don't think a U2 concert is simply a list of songs .. U2 concerts are much more .. and that is one of many things that makes the difference between them and the others.
    ridiculous or not.
if you take care only at the technical musical performance well ok you're right.
i judge one show considering other things too.
(i don't know if i can make me understand with my bad english )

I understand you. Sarajevo is an important concert for the history of U2 (and so is Red Rocks, Live Aid, Superbowl '02 etc), one that shouldn't be forgotten, but it's not a great concert. Red Rocks, Live Aid and Superbowl are great, but except for Red Rocks they shouldn't be on a best U2 gigs list.

It's true that a concert can be a great concert when it wasn't perfection, it just has to work well.

Also, No concert should be simply a list of songs. The show needs to flow well and have a start middle and end.
  3. just downloaded Boston 1981.
  4. Dortmund 1984 is my favourite gig

They were cool dudes by that time.
  5. Dortmund 1992/06/04 and Denver 1987/11/07 are best shows for me

I think the topic is best show or any type of live recording (live television appearances etc), not bootleg.

  9. Topic title "...best bootlegs ever?"
  10. This what the topic opener said when opening the topic "New To U2Start, Best Bootlegs Ever?"

Oh and one more thing: which Dublin ZooTV show do people keep talking about? I've heard people say it's their favorite bootleg, but there was more than one Dublin show in 1993. Can someone send me a link to the shows page?

    Thanks a bunch everyone !!!!

He is talking about live recordings. Best concert bootlegs. Not studio / demo bootlegs etc.
  11. oh my god you guys, this isn't that hard.
