1. I just realized we have no topic about this incredible series/movies phenomenon.

I can't be the only Trekkie on u2start, right? Been a fan since 1992 when Star Trek VI hit the cinemas, since then hooked to the Classic Series, later on fell in love with TNG. DS9 went past me and Voyager had me hooked once again.

I've been to numbers of Trek conventions, met most of the actors there, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, Nichelle Nichols, John deLancie, Kate Mulgrew, Robert Picardo, Michael Dorn, George Takei, Robert Beltran, Brent Spiner - to name just a few. Once a Trekkie, always a Trekkie

Where are you, fans of Spock, Kirk, Picard, Janeway etc?

  2. I'm right here

You should not let DS9 be unwatched. It's amazing!

  3. oh I definitely watched DS9, all seasons of it for sure. It was good, but somehow it didn't "click" with me, if you know what I mean. Some good stories, and the characters got more depth after season 1.

    what's your favorite series?
  4. I've watched DS9, to somewhere in the middle of ENT, most episodes of TNG, some random VOY (right now watching the entire series on DVD, about halfway through season 1) and I've watched a few TOS episodes.

My favorite must be DS9 But I haven't watched everything yet. I discovered Star Trek only some 3-4 years ago (I'm just 14 years old, near 15).

Now everyone should go into hiding from us Trekkies! We're very dangerous!
  5. Oh I love star trek too
I think Voyager is my favorite series but I can't decide between Picard or Janeway as the best captain
I met Ensign Harry Kim from Voyager at a convention a few months ago too
  6. I don't really get/understand/like Star Trek - mind you, that might be because I've had proper sex with a girl and everything.

That was a really stupid, pretty ignorant comment.

    -----------

What do you U2start-trekkies think about ENT?

    No need for that really
  9. I wouldn't say that Star Trek is my favourite Sci-Fi TV show. It's very hit and miss. Voyager and Deep Space Nine were probably the worst series, Next Generation was the best one and TOS is great watching because it's hilariously bad, although my favourite Star Trek character is Spock.

Some of the films are really good, though.

I prefer Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis (but not that ridiciously awful Stargate Universe)

So have I, sweetie, it doesn't make you special.

  11. That was legendary, Sonia Although I liked the extra sarcasm on Thejonner's original comment too.

Never been a Star Trek fan, I'm more of a Star Wars boy. Sorry, I know I'm not welcome in this thread

Nevertheless, I love doing Spock's greeting (I have fun of my girflriend because she can't get her fingers to do it, hahaha)

Oh, and last but not least: I love the Star Trek' GIFs like this one:

  12. It does where I live - most cherries are popped to farmyard animals around here.

And I was only kidding, my humourless Star Trek chums - I thought JJ Abrams' film was absolutely fantastic. It got the balance of old and new, playing to fans and non-fans alike just about perfect. Calm down, honestly. Anyway, what do you care what anyone else says about the stuff you like? That's how religious wars start...
