1. is it gona be like Rainbows where we pay what we think its worth?
  2. no it's at fixed prize .. 7€/9$ for mp3 version for example

  3. The music industry better be taking notes. These guys are revolutionary. Pretty soon, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Kanye West will receive the credit for a bold move like this when they copy it themselves.

With In rainbows maybe, but there's nothing revolutionary with this. 7/9 Euros for digital download is actually expensive.

  5. Thanks so much for this information...I MAY have missed out on it.

Radiohead is almost my favourite band - you needn't ask who is first. OK Computer, however, would be my all-time favourite album.

Also, I don't think it is necessary to waste resources on creating compact discs anymore. Alot of us use mp3 players now and If we really want the material on disc, we can do it ourselves.

It's not the act of King of Limbs that's revolutionary, it's them as whole. Everything in combination with everything. Tons of artists are on their own labels nowadays, but nobody really as huge as Radiohead, and nobody wakes up on a Monday and is like, "Oh by the way, there'll be a new album of ours in about six days or so." No build up, no previous announcements, nothing. Just..."Hey guys. Here's a new album."

i still prefer physical things .. and the cd should be in shops around the end of march (rumors say on 29)

true .. from the latest interviews you couldn't think it was such a quick release .. suddenly here it is
you can't bet anything with Thom and Jonny
not counting the occasional single digital release

Per the story I read at:
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110214/music_nm/us_radiohead

"...The digital version will cost $9 USD (6 pounds) for an MP3."

That is more than a fair price. Most new albums are 9.99 or more on iTunes or in the shops.

    What about the deluxe?

"A deluxe edition the band is calling a "newspaper album" will be shipped to customers on May 9. It comes with two vinyl records, a CD and artwork, at a cost of $48 (30 pounds)."

Again, when most boxed deluxe editions (containing CD, Vinyl and extra goodies) go for $80USD and more.... $48 USD is not a bad price at all.

I know. I know. I'll probably buy the physical disc, too.

Although I never bought NLOTH on CD! My U2 collection looks somewhat incomplete.
  10. How cool would it be if U2 did something like this... some concert Bono says: "Hey, on your way out pick up our new album!"... I know, it´s a dream...

If the RH album is just average it will be mind blowing already... so I am excited!
  11. love the album art and name, this is such a top effort from thom and the boys, i'll be preordering mine in the next few days.
