Haha. I know, it isn't really up- to- date right now. But it's so hard to delete a song out of this list. Anyway, I have to

  5. October...for me a great album...of course not as great as Joshua Tree,Achtung Baby or ATYCLB...but it has it' great tunes:Gloria,I Fall Down,I Threw A Brick Through A Window,Tomorrow,October,Rejoice...not their best album surely but great indeed
  6. I recently went back and had a good listen to the first boy, war and october. Now i can't stop listening to all of them now, especially October. Songs like rejoice and tomorrow, just perfect. But as said before The Unforgettable Fire is a magnificent album, probably my favourite album of all time...
  7. Another 2-years bump, haha

I've changed my mind since I wrote about October in 2007. I really appreciate some of the tracks much more now. Tomorrow has become one of my favorite tracks of the pre-87 stuff, and I Fall Down and Rejoice have also climbed up many positions.

The album could be better overall, though.
  8. Dislike it the most together with HTDAAB. That doesn't say I hate it though. I love Gloria, Tomorrow etc but it doesn't grab me. Same with Bomb, but that's another discussion.
  9. Tomorrow is one of the greatest songs on any album. Its so good. Kind of like how Drowning Man is in the middle of War, they are the middle of the road sad epics.

I like a lot the comparison between Tomorrow and Drowning Man. Nice one. Great songs both, less known than the classics but with much more feeling and passion.

    nice! love them both.
  12. I actually prefer October to Boy, it sounds so much rawer.
