  1. Alright, 360 is over and the next big thing will be the Achtung Baby remaster. To celebrate this release, here's my version of the 1992 Washington DC show.
It's a pretty nice listen to me, but it isn't the Holy Grail, unfortunately. The SBD was recorded too loud and the second half of the show suffers badly from distortion. The 'dreamoutloud' version did have a few skips. The AUD was distant but it adds something. It wasn't mixed in very loud but you'll notice some talking, screaming and clapping through the music at spots.
Last note: the sound was and is very compressed so if you listen with headphones, you'll be very tired at the end of the show. But apart from the flaws, I tried to get the best out of it, and it sounds pretty acceptable over any stereo set. Enjoy.

  2. Always been a harsh listen on headphones. Sounds great via speakers here at the moment. No time to give it a full run through but the best compliment I can pay it this early is that it doesn't sound like a matrix at all. Always vital
  3. Please, to be possible to load this in FLAC format?

  4. Well.

    Maybe.

    I like sharing good music.

But there's an increasing tendency aboard that I don't quite like. For instance, when I shared the only listenable version of Montréal 2011, about the first thing to happen was someone sharing an inferior source stating it was an 'upgrade'.

I'm way less vain than people might think and if someone shares a real upgrade over my work I'm sincerely happy. But unfortunately it rarely happens.

When I share something, I always check the files for all technical flaws you can possibly think of - whether you like my work or not, my files always are properly mastered, de-essed, free of skips and clicks, properly stereo imaged, decently EQ'd, and so on. For most shows, this takes several days, if not weeks.

So, if someone throws in a 'remaster' a few minutes after I share a version I worked on for days, that's a plain insult. And it's the more insulting because out of 50,000 members no-one seems to be willing to discuss technical pros and contras of different sources.

It leads me to think most people don't give a flying fuck about a proper mastered show, and call everything 'a matter of taste'. I disagree. A bootleg that is distorted as a result of poor 'remastering' is a bad bootleg and that is not a matter of taste, it's a matter of vandalism.

So. I'm getting more hesitant in sharing lossless files. In the first place because people might butcher them. In the second place because, as stated, I rarely notice people actually care.

So again, it's not out of vanity but I do want people to care. Not about me - I'm just a random prick - but about the music. So: care. Comment, discuss, flatter, flame, hate me, love me, anything. But really I'm not sharing anything anymore when people don't seem to appreciate it.

All in all I chose to throw in a lossless version of this show as soon as 50 different people have commented on this. That's a lousy 0,1% of the U2start community.

When no-one cares, why would I share?
  5. Noiseless.

I know that I'm a nobody, just a U2 fan and a Noiseless remasters fan.

If you don't share your lossless works again I will have a poorer collection.

But thanks for all you shared before.
  6. NOISELESS, I will take a listen to it after the download finishes. But I´m shure that it as all your remastering concerts. I am actually listening to your version of the Montreal webcast and it´s excellent!

    Thanks for sharing!
  7. Have downloaded and listened to the new matrix; it sounds very good - a definite improvement over the one I had, which sounded more muffled and "clumpy" (its hard to describe sound). Really appreciated the effort, thanks!
  8. I will check this out later! Im excited because I've always liked this show
  9. Your Sarajevo remaster is absolutely great and one of my favorite bootlegs ever, your Montreal fixed version is amazing as well and something I've enjoyed tremendously over the last weeks. Was really happy to see this post of what I'm sure will be the best audio of this show (downloading right now).

I think the 50 people may be too hard, most of those 50,000 people probably never even looked at the forums and just joined to download a show and then never visited the site again. I don't even know if the forum has 50 active users.... But I sure hope that it has so that we can get a lossless version!
  10. Thanks for this great matrix Johan. And I'm verry happy now that I did not upload my remaster. Sounds absolutley great and I like the atmosphere very much. But I'll also very grateful if you could upload the Flac-Files. Thanks for your efforts and Thanks for another great work!
  11. Oh well I had a bad mood and was a little harsh.
My opinion hasn't changed but I could've been a little friendlier.
Thanks for the replies, again it's NOT because I'm vain but it is just discouraging when people A) alter/downgrade my files or B) don't take 10 seconds to leave a comment after my 10 days of work, and just hit and run.
I hope to torrent the lossless files this weekend - not home right now and won't be until Friday.

Very good, noiseless. We thank you (again!) for the lossless files.

And by the way, Sarajevo is a great bootleg of yours.

And by the way, I have Fradoca remaster of Santiago (Popmart) bootleg. But WTSHNN isn't of that show. Is from Sarajevo.

Is there any Santiago complete version around? Would like to have it.
