1. Leave to The Rolling Stones to milk another milestone! Not that I'm not interested. I was kind of surprised The Beatles camp didn't do something like this for their 50th. Anyway...

This is a VERY solid set (although I wouldn't have much "use" for the fourth disc aside from "Undercover of the Night). Pretty much all of the hits/essentials are there. Everything from Hot Rocks is, obviously, included plus a great deal from More Mot Rocks (admittedly I'm a bit surprised/disappointed "Let it Bleed" didn't make the cut). I wonder which very of "Out of Time" is included? I like the one they redid in the 70's better.

I'll be tempted to get this one for sure. Christmas is coming!

    Thoughts?
  2. Mmm. Yet another anthology? I might just download it...

  3. Wait a minute - I thought this album cover was a JOKE!

Accroding to wikipedia, there's also a 50-track version:

    Disc one
    "Come On" (Chuck Berry)
"Not Fade Away" (Norman Petty/Buddy Holly)
"It's All Over Now" (Bobby Womack/Shirley Womack)
    "Little Red Rooster" (Willie Dixon)
    "The Last Time"
    "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction"
"Time Is on My Side" (Norman Meade)
    "Get Off of My Cloud"
    "Heart of Stone"
    "19th Nervous Breakdown"
"As Tears Go By" (Jagger/Richards/Andrew Loog Oldham)
    "Paint It, Black"
    "Under My Thumb"
"Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing in the Shadow?"
    "Ruby Tuesday"
    "Let's Spend the Night Together"
    "We Love You"
    Disc two
    "Jumpin' Jack Flash"
    "Honky Tonk Women"
    "Sympathy for the Devil"
"You Can't Always Get What You Want"
    "Gimme Shelter"
    "Street Fighting Man"
    "Wild Horses"
    "She's a Rainbow"
    "Brown Sugar"
    "Happy"
    "Tumbling Dice"
    "Angie"
    "Rocks Off"
"Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)"
"It's Only Rock 'n Roll (But I Like It)"
    "Fool to Cry"
    Disc three
    "Miss You"
    "Respectable"
    "Beast of Burden"
    "Emotional Rescue"
    "Start Me Up"
    "Waiting on a Friend"
    "Undercover of the Night"
    "She Was Hot"
    "Streets of Love"
    "Harlem Shuffle" (Bob Relf/Earl Nelson)
    "Mixed Emotions"
    "Highwire"
    "Love Is Strong"
"Anybody Seen My Baby?" (Jagger/Richards/k. d. lang/Ben Mink)
    "Don't Stop"
    "Doom and Gloom"
    "One More Shot"
  4. The 50-track version doesn't include "Mother's Little Helper," WTF?

(I love having on-line coversations with myself).

  5. yes that's my thought
i can understand it's just a autocelebration of 50 years of singles/hits .. but this is something seen and seen over and over.
4th cd completely useful (and part of 3rd too i'd say)
nice that 3cds and a piece cover less than 20 years and a piece of 1 cd covers more than 30 years ... obligatory of course
thay could have better made a-la Bob Dylan/ Neil Young
live - outtakes - alternates - archives etc
    missed opportunity
it's only rock n roll but i don't like it

PS: Let It Bleed out is a sacrilege
  6. Wait a minute....the only four-disc version (which I'd want) only comes with the super-deluxe edition which includes vinyl lp, (I don't own a turntable) etc. and therefore will be a lot more expensive.

    Fxxk you, Rolling Stones.
  7. Great track!
  8. I like the inclusion of Plundered My Soul. While it's a nice song, in case you didn't get it on the Exile remaster, the 7'' vinyl we released just before EOMS was re-released, we're putting it on here too, just so you CAN get it.

It's almost becoming the Fast Cars of the Stones compilations.

At least Come On and Anybody Seen My Baby is on there. But it should have had this one:

    it should cost around 100€
  10. Haha that cover is hilarious
  11. I too noticed that "One Hit To The Body" was missing. A bit of a shame. It seems that they've simply chosen just one song from each of their 1980's albums. Did they do the same for their 1990's/2000's ones? I never paid any attention after Steel Wheels.
