Last year they never sent me the subscription gift at all, even though I sent several emails asking why
And this year, while my membership ended by the end of November I happened to lay in hospital so I just couldn't resubscribe in time. When I got back home I was already a non-member. I sent emails telling them why I hadn't prolonged my membership in time, even offering them to send in hospital files so they could see I indeed wasn't home for the subscription -- no answer until now
I begin think if I want to be a member any longer anyway

Oh my God! That is terrible Mac Stripey! I don't know you, but i have read what you have been through. (And still going through). You do not deserve to be treated like that!!!

I'm very sure someone at U2.com reads this forum. Please do something about it!

That subscriber gift was From the Ground Up, right? I enquired why I never received it and apparently you had to resubscribe - even though I had four months remaining - to get the gift. Same has happened this time round, which I personally think is a rip off.

The fact that they are ignoring you is pathetic. I'd say phone but that will cost you a fortune.
  3. The "another disgrace" from the topic title was never more fitting.
  4. I didn't want to create a new thread for this question so I thought here may be a good place to ask...what are people's thoughts on whether a U2.com membership is worth the cost? Specifically regarding the ticket presale access. I had a membership for both my 360 shows, although in hindsight I'm not sure how big a difference it made given how plentiful tickets were in stadiums.

I'm debating joining up again before a tour announcement to at least get Level 2 access if they have a similar system to 2009, since I'm thinking GA tickets for arenas will be tough to get, particularly for a city in the Northeast. If anyone has any insight into how useful the code was for indoor legs of the Elevation/Vertigo tours (were you able to get tickets, how good were they, etc) I'd be highly appreciative. Thanks in advance!
  5. Not worth it if they do stadiums.
Possibly worth it IF they do arenas AND IF the presale codes can be used for more than one show.

    Got the e-mail last friday.

Is there somebody who received the book already?

    Shipped today!

  7. It wasn't but still I decided to rename it to a more general U2.com gift topic

  9. Just got a mail saying they have shipped mine.
  10. Guess what? My book arrived today! And it's actually a nice little read...

It's accompanied by a map of Dublin you can unfold and look up the U2 'places of interest'...
Not an app, but a really 'good oldfashioned' paper map!

    It looks like this:

  11. I received mine today as well. And I really like it! So now, I will wait for a nice rainy sunday afternoon, to read it and enjoy it!
Are you guys / girls excited about the gift?
  12. To be honest, not at all.
