    Both Madonna and U2 have albums planned for late this year and we hear that Universal is considering releasing them as a “surprise,” just as Beyonce did in 2013. Our source from Universal says it’s a lot more likely to happen with U2 than it is with Madonna.

The promotion for this album will be a little different,” he continues. We can comfortably tell you that despite recent reports, U2 fans will definitely get an album this year.

    eh eh - silence and splitting rumours followed by a 'surprise' strong enough release is something that would certainly psychologically work!
  3. It would be awesome if they just drop the bomb and release it 'tomorrow' . They have been recording for months now, I bet the songs are nearly finished. Perhaps they just want to shape the songs in to an album.

  6. also not much is known about cover shots/album artwork while with NLOTH that was all part of the build-up, so I guess it's a possibility.

    I wish they would release it spontaneously, if only to prevent this topic surfacing again before the release. I can't see it happening though.
  10. Well looking I what I have just received from a friend from London who is well connected, it looks like a release is closer than we think.

    I am having trouble uploading the images so I have mailed them to the staff to help me share them with you.
