Also do you think they released "Sweetest Thing" as a single from the Best of 1980-1990 because a) it was a song U2 fans might be familiar with and b)it came from The Joshua Tree which was very far from Pop?
As far as I remember, Sweetest Thing was supposed to be in the album but they didn't finished it on time, so it always was one of their "favourite" Joshua Tree tracks.

I never got too much into the JT b-sides... until I listened Spanish Eyes live... my god! that's one of their best live songs, I became obsessed with it. The studio version never did much to me but is a killer live.

All right, time to listen to some JT shows

i know.. how time has flown, got me some joshua tree as well to listen to, and some showcasing this month would be a good idea
  4. I don't feel like wanting to listen to JT now. ..
  5. JT is U2's best record ever.

Nowadays U2 should reinvent how to play WOWY, ISHFWLF, live. These songs are played on the automatic pilot the last tours.

And of course I would like to see a full band live version of Red Hill Mining town.
+ strings and extra background vocals.

The strings can stay on stage for One Tree Hill, WOWY and Mothers of the

In Running, Gods Country and Exit should be played more often.
  6. I Love Walk to the water. It has a vibe i just love. But i't's heartbreaking and all at the same time.............................
  7. your on your own there man im still not looking back so much hate for the song for some reason perhaps some puke as well lol, i rather the childish song wild honey than walk to the water, for some reason
  8. The B sides are ok, but do not have the level for the album. (The Sweetest Thing, I even do not like).
  9. This era have the best B sides ...and AB have good ones too but then they discover to keep that songs to work on them for the next disc ...if they did Walk to the water in 2005 and it didn t was on HTDAAB for sure they would work on it for NLOTH and not bring out

+ 1. As much as I love JT, Walk To The Water is perhaps the most boring, unappealing U2 song for me.
