1. I was at that show. One of the best I've ever seen.
    Absolute amazing!!!!
  2. Absolutely awsome show, I wish I was there.

And I hope U2 would listen to this show and realize how they played songs like WOWY, Running, ISHWLF etc in those days.

Listen this weekend to the version downloaded here and the 25 anniversary edition.

Both are good audience recordings, the "u2start version" has a slightly better and clear sound. But bass and drums sounds like one big bom, bom, bom. On the 25 ann ed bass and drums are sounding better and this recording has a the better live atmosphere.

But this is just a matter of personal taste.
  3. Nod.
  4. I was discussing with a couple of friends that asked me "if you could travel back in time to one night of each year, when would you go?". I had a hard time deciding between Brussels and Madrid 87 but opted for the former.

I dare (I double dare) anybody to show me an example, any example, of Bono being more into it than he was between 3:30 and 4:35 of this video:

I also dare you to find a TUF version sung any better by Bono, or with a louder audience participation. Or a better SBS version overall!!! Man, this concert is pure GOLD.
  5. This is a cracking show

I can find you all of these, but you probably won't be convinced as it's very subjective.
  8. Bono is hyped. He sounds drugged at times. I’ve rarely heard him so pumped.
  9. Yep, for me an even better TUF with louder audience is the Lovetown gig in 1990-01-06 Rotterdam. To each their own.
  10. yeah, those Rotterdam shows were one big sing along. I think most European Lovetown shows were.My favourite TUF might be Paris 1 1989, but of course I can't remember all the versions. Also I think it's one of the worst U2 live songs compared to the studio version.
  11. Happy birthday old friend.
